  1. I've made the same trip. Makes for a nice day.
  2. 84/55 feels a whole lot worse. I've gotten used to the cool weather
  3. Made to order by the chamber of commerce. Gotta love the comfortable dew points. It just keeps going and going and going..
  4. Stein: The average date of the first 90-degree reading in Boston is June 8th, and we have not hit one officially so far at Logan Airport. It’s not impossible that this weekend brings the first 90-degree day, but because Logan sits — basically — in the water, it could reach 90 degrees in downtown Boston and still only be 80 to 85 at Logan Airport. The heat will be neither noteworthy nor long-lasting this weekend, but many inland areas will reach 90 degrees. You can see that on Saturday, when the high temperature predicted by the GFS is near 90 degrees. Coastal areas should remain cooler.
  5. We'll give you a couple days. It's the least we could do.
  6. My daughter tells me they're doing a number in New Hampshire as well. Noticed some winter months in the woods this week but they don't seem to be doing any damage. We'll see...
  7. Enough with the charts. It's been a full-fledged inferno since April.
  8. It's ridiculous. We got enough rain for 4 years last year. Relax...
  9. Short-lived mild up for the weekend. Thankfully the dews won't be bad. I guess we have to have at least one warmish day this summer. " Closed low finally begins to kick east and offshore Fri, yielding a drying and warming trend, that continues into the weekend with height rises. Highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s, and it will feel warmer with dew pts climbing into the 60s. Not oppressive, but definitely a different airmass than recent days. Next trough/cold front approaches SNE late Sun/Sun night into Monday, per ensembles. Hence the next chance of showers and T-storms."
  10. On dead trees the section near the roots tends to be less stable and compressed. Also it's easier to get out of the way while standing than bent over if something starts going wrong. If the wood looks good after I fell the tree I'll cut the remainder.
  11. Fine day for gathering some firewood.
  12. 4 AM] Daytime highs today will be more typical of late April or early October. Morning showers will give way to a mix of sun and clouds along with breezy northwest winds. #MAwx #RIwx #CTwx Enjoy!
  13. He's waiting for his torch to finally arrive so he can use the sidewalk. Doesn't look to be anytime soon.
  14. Looks like when the leaders go off the winds will be subsiding.
