  1. The radar looks like yesterday if yesterday's activity was just pushed 50 miles south.
  2. Some distant thunder here now, but definitely much darker just southwest than due west.
  3. So much for the northern areas getting hit hard today. PA hasn't gotten much and the northern part of the line in Maryland has really fallen apart. Going to be a close call for my location. Looks like heaviest will slide south of me.
  4. Doesn't the last radar image looks like a textbook hook?
  5. Northern part of the line seems to have collapsed a bit and is not as organized. Southern part seems to be pretty formidable from Frederick and south.
  6. Line by Hagerstown seems to have strengthened significantly. Curious to see if the rest of the line follows suit.
  7. Line to the west is really booking it. Doesn't look that impressive right now, but maybe it strengthens as it heads east.
  8. Been cloudier than I expected today, but that's the case with 95% of our severe weather days it seems.
  9. What happened June 4, 2008? I don't remember that at all. Really the only true severe system I remember well was the derecho. Obviously there are certain thunderstorms that stick out in my mind.
  10. Everything seems well north and west today and all models from today seemed to indicate that's going to be the case.
  11. I would also imagine that part of the problem is we see very few tornadoes in this area and even fewer are impactful, so a lot of people don't take it seriously.
  12. Looks like a dud for almost everyone. Big swing and a miss on big rains and severe weather. Always skeptical of severe weather days when we are on the fringes of the slight risk area, when temps struggle and cloud cover sticks around, and when it's happening in April. Lot of red flags.
  13. On a lot of predicted severe weather days for our region, I feel like we end up with morning cloud cover that either never fully clears or clears for a very brief period and limits instability.
  14. Haha that can't be final for BWI. I swear for all the complaining about DCA's reporting, BWI's is equally as comical. I live pretty close to the airport and they are always low on totals.
  15. Eased up to just flurries here and it looks like in general the lifting mechanism is dying out. Lots of weakening of the bands now. It was a fun evening though. Let's keep the ball rolling for next weekend. That's the BIG one.
  16. Not sure but BWI should have been getting really good snow the past 3-4 hours. They should be over 8 and maybe hit double digits.
  17. At this rate, I might, too, as crazy as that sounds.
  18. Getting dumped on right now. Heaviest snow yet. This is awesome.
  19. Good stuff. I've easily picked up a couple inches in the past two hours. I feel like every subsequent run of HRRR doesn't change amounts going forward.
  20. I'm just going to pretend the NAM situation from a couple days ago is happening where we got like 15 inches from this part of the storm LOL.
  21. Now we are cranking. Up to moderate snow now, huge flakes. Hope I can get a few hours of this before it all winds down.
  22. My band has picked up a little bit more now. Definitely a steady light snow.
