  1. Yeah I was just getting some very distant rumbles and then the sky opened up and the wind got going. Pretty good storm with no T&L.
  2. Uh, just had something pretty interesting come close to me. I'll try to post video when I get a chance.
  3. Tornado Warning for a large area of Howard County. TVS on radarscope.
  4. This seems like it's probably going to be the main event to me. Is there really going to be a line coming through later?
  5. I actually think it looks less impressive at the end of the loop than it did earlier. Lost its hook.
  6. Does everything get warned now? That looks like a heavy shower.
  7. Severe busts, I just shrug my shoulders. Snow busts, I'm ready to throw the computer off the deck.
  8. This is looking like a bust. Activity is way too far north.
  9. The radar looks like yesterday if yesterday's activity was just pushed 50 miles south.
  10. Some distant thunder here now, but definitely much darker just southwest than due west.
  11. So much for the northern areas getting hit hard today. PA hasn't gotten much and the northern part of the line in Maryland has really fallen apart. Going to be a close call for my location. Looks like heaviest will slide south of me.
  12. Doesn't the last radar image looks like a textbook hook?
  13. Northern part of the line seems to have collapsed a bit and is not as organized. Southern part seems to be pretty formidable from Frederick and south.
  14. Line by Hagerstown seems to have strengthened significantly. Curious to see if the rest of the line follows suit.
  15. Line to the west is really booking it. Doesn't look that impressive right now, but maybe it strengthens as it heads east.
  16. Been cloudier than I expected today, but that's the case with 95% of our severe weather days it seems.
  17. What happened June 4, 2008? I don't remember that at all. Really the only true severe system I remember well was the derecho. Obviously there are certain thunderstorms that stick out in my mind.
  18. Everything seems well north and west today and all models from today seemed to indicate that's going to be the case.
  19. I would also imagine that part of the problem is we see very few tornadoes in this area and even fewer are impactful, so a lot of people don't take it seriously.
  20. Looks like a dud for almost everyone. Big swing and a miss on big rains and severe weather. Always skeptical of severe weather days when we are on the fringes of the slight risk area, when temps struggle and cloud cover sticks around, and when it's happening in April. Lot of red flags.
  21. On a lot of predicted severe weather days for our region, I feel like we end up with morning cloud cover that either never fully clears or clears for a very brief period and limits instability.
  22. I put my shovel away awhile ago and got out the paddle and canoe. Could be some nice rapids later on tonight.
