Latest HRRR looks awful but it doesn't match current radar at all, so it's probably worthless.

Those hoping for severe weather won't want to look at latest HRRR or 3k NAM. Very isolated stuff.

Latest HRRR is pretty meh. Some scattered storms.

0z 3k NAM has a line of severe storms roll through in the 3-5 AM time period and then nothing but a few isolated cells after that for Central MD.

Not unpopular to me. I don't want tornadoes. Who the hell wants a tornado damaging their property, or even worse, a potentially high-end tornado killing people?

Business picked up in a hurry. Pretty concerning for what we could see tomorrow.

Yeah, that big line doesn't really form. Parts of it do but it's hit or miss. There is a big, nasty line to the south that almost seems to race due north that looks real ugly.

It looked pretty freaking intense to me. I don't remember the last time I saw a simulated radar look like that for 10+ hours.

3km is just hour after hour of storms rolling through. Pretty wild from around 2-3 am through early afternoon.

Ahhh, just seeing that now on TWC. Does look like big damage there.

I guess it's still early but it seems like there isn't all that much happening down south, thankfully. Seen a number of tornado warnings out but I haven't seen any official tornado reports or damage yet.

FWIW, DT posted an update last night and said he doesn't see any significant severe weather for Central MD area.

Really strange. I get the most recent one issued from about 70 and north, but the one south......weird that there is a lot of wind in that area.

This week was really the worst. I still haven't gotten over the game. Thought I at least had a great snow pattern to cheer me up. So much for that.

Hour 336 on the GFS is amazing. It's just dumping on 95 with the deform with a 983 mb low right off the coast. Have to imagine there is significant winds with that. You know, the fake system that isn't real that I'm going to analyze for the heck of it.

Yeah this weekend was just a bonus if it worked out. I'm not even a fan of that setup. They usually end up way worse in my actual yard than on the pretty maps. The flip to sleet always happens way sooner than progged and it's mostly a sleet/freezing rain event.

This is a typical Ji post, but it's not really all wrong. There was some hype about the second half of January being really good, but by second half of January, it seems more like the last week, if that, of January could be interesting. 10 days from now is already January 24. And that's if you are buying the 10-15 + day stuff again.
