I agree, but it does suck that AL & MS don't really have a subforum that's truly theirs. Technically they fall on the western states sub, but nobody posts there from the deep south
This suforum covers those states literally right at the top it says
Southeastern States
Covering Southern VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, and MS.

Raleigh also averages twice as much snow as Charlotte — albeit nominal amounts, and have had bigger snowstorms in history. So I suppose weird junkies in a way because we know what is possible.
Raleigh averages 4 inches per year and Charlotte 3.5 inches. Maybe 5 at most if you go back far wnough. Your post is pure wrong.

Jacksonville, FL has a whopping 0.7” on the 18Z GEFS for 1/21-2! That’s near 10 times the normal annual. Just unreal. This run has easily the heaviest snow mean for coastal SC to Jacksonville to Gainesville to the coast of LA! Nine members have snow at Jacksonville!
Last time it snowed in Jacksonville in 1989 and climo has changed massively since. I don't want to say 100% it's not going to happen but it's not going to happen unless something crazy like 1993 superstorm happened again.

CLT is very similar to ATL.
Charlotte rarley if ever has same weather as Atlanta winter weather. Last weekend was very rare exception where Atlanta lucked out but it happens.

can we get some KCLT estimates for Charlotte instead of Georgia or pretty far south in SC?

How sad is it that Atlanta got better snow than most of NC

Raining in Charlotte area now yet it's 29 out. I can't imagine the ice mess this will cause once it all freezes. It might be freezing rain already but its coming down as mainly rain.
