  1. Obs/measurement question: should the snow board be cleared after the transition to sleet, even if it’s before the 6 hour clearing?
  2. Even where I’m at honestly thinking minimum 6”, and whatever sleet falls. Gotta be 8”+ by the end for you. It’s dumping.
  3. 3.4” measured in Havre de Grace. That is 1.2” in 1 hour. Insane rates for an unimpressive radar up this way.

  5. Bro… DC area gets 6-7” at 10:1 then 3” of sleet. That’s legit.
  6. Currently 16.1 after a high of 17.7. Cold enough for ice to continue to form on the inlet all day even through filtered sunlight.
  7. Ready for it to snow. This was a tough week of tracking. Sucks that we couldn’t maximize what was on the table, but hopefully we come out with something that sticks around for 2 weeks. My guesses (snow/sleet): DCA: 5.2” IAD: 5.8” BWI: 5.7” mby: 6.2” (4.5” snow) I feel like the max south of the M/D line will be relatively low - something like 9”.
  8. Honestly doesn’t really matter too much but GEFS is a slight improvement for southern areas.
  9. 3k is dry af… .4-.5 qpf before the flip even in the favored areas.
  10. Euro is great for DC-SE. 7-8” all the way to southern MD
  11. Not only that, but the individual panels are eerily uniform. Almost no variation in track or strength. I wonder how useful they truly are for precipitation.
  12. Partially storm related, but the 18z gfs and 12z euro are below freezing for most of the area until the end of the runs. Absolutely insane. Whatever falls will be here when we flip the calendar.
  13. I believe they lean on the NBM heavily especially 3 days out. I’m sure @high risk can correct me lol
  14. Hopefully we are converging on a result that is close to reality. As it stands I feel like 6-9” is a safe and reasonable forecast for 95. Feel like 10-14” NW.
  15. 0z eps looks good to me. Really not too different. A bit more qpf.
  16. So close to all snow in dc. Just misses the pivot by 30 miles
