Wouldn’t mind a quick downpour or two just to wash away some of this god awful pollen that’s caked on everything right now. At least the majority of the pine pollen has stopped falling from the trees around here but the lack of any appreciable moisture lately is taking its toll on many stuffy noses.

Today is easily a 10 as far as I’m concerned. Maybe if I’m being really nitpicky I’d take one point off just for the sky high pollen count and the occasional busy bee getting a little too curious when rummaging around the garden. But man this is just beautiful all around!

That’s awesome. I use this app too and the number of titmice, warblers and chipping sparrows has been insane this year. Have also seen quite a few red bellied woodies making their presence known this year.

Guarantee those of us on the immediate coast will see a full solar breakout within the last hour or so of the day, while folks west of Springfield will have already caught up on any missed napage. Sometimes I feel like we’re following some kind of poor, but totally predictable (and tragic) script on Memorial Day.

Soon enough, the pattern will transition to an all you can bathe swampfest and all you’ll hear outside are the sound of A/Cs humming and frogs buzzing away deep in to the night. The trend is our friend baby!

Did somebody say cold front? All I feel is a gentle breeze with a few clouds passing by on another fine mid 80s afternoon! We take and bake, no questions asked!

As usual, the little yipper is sheltering under the couch while the boomies fly overhead. Another warm season for the ages is underway!

Caught this chubby looking hummingbird earlier just camping out at the feeder pondering the many mysteries of bipolar spring weather in New England. (Apologies for the background glare, I gotta fix that in the future)

Must be nice not living less than 5 miles from a 45 degree ocean. Hopefully us mist weary coastal inhabitants can get some much needed relief later this week!

We need a good 3+ day streak of 70+ temps region wide. 46 and misery mist just ain’t cutting it. This orange glow must be maintained at all costs!

I just got back from Sarasota a couple days ago from a family wedding and mini vacation and man this is a tough adjustment. 80 nearly everyday with a gentle breeze in the evening and walking around in shorts everywhere is hard to beat. I did get a bit of a burn on my upper back and shoulders but it’s totally worth it just having that nice change of pace for a while!

Let’s just say the nape has been fully bronzed these last several days, along with nearly everything else. But don’t worry gentlemen, I’ll be sure to bring as much of this bliss back north upon my return! It’s coming, hang in there baby.

Yeah this complex almost looks like a mini meso vortex on the last few loops. Areas just to my south, esp west of Plymouth are getting hit hard right now. Very impressive stuff for mid April!

Felt like a late-winter day out there with that chilly wind. Had to do a double take after checking the temp too. 36 for a high is pretty insane in early April, all whacked out climo aside. Of course, I’m sure when I go away for a family wedding late next week we’ll be torching into the 70s lol.
