  1. I know a Melissa or two in the past I wouldn’t mind having flung back at me!
  2. On a more exciting note, those winds are whipping today ahead of the line. The birdies are going wild at the feeders..they always know!
  3. Ah the season of almost constant wind and the seemingly never ending buzz of leaf blowers is now underway..thank the good lord for sound dampening windows
  4. Heavy drizzle and light rain still coming down. Probably getting close to 5” at this point. The persistence of these bands right along the shore has been just remarkable. As others have already noted, we’d probably be swimming in piles of powder if this were a mid winter event. Def one to remember for many!
  5. This line over us just doesn’t want to give up..it’s like one of those LES squalls over Buffalo in mid Jan! We must be over 4.5” easily by now.
  6. A pretty sizeable tree just came down out back. Hopefully it’s just one of the many diseased beech trees that happen to be nearby but it’s always a sad sight as a nature lover. That rain has just been relentless since early this morning!
  7. Up to an 1.5” here and that coastal band is set up right over us. Beautiful baby!
  8. Getting a few good gusts now but the rain hasn’t been too impressive so far. Hopefully more will fill in later. I bet it’s wild at the shore tonight!
  9. Beautiful night out there. Reminds me of early June before a line of strong storms are set to blow through, gusty winds and all!
  10. Another beauty out there today..77f and just blissful. Reminds me of mid April minus some daylight. Would love to keep this going for at least a month but it’ll return when we least expect it.
  11. This is essentially our winter now. With little to no moisture to trap any daytime heating, the temps plummet as soon as the sun sets. I think once our usual parade of nor’easters gets established then things will get back to “normal.” Enjoy the shrinkage while it lasts!
  12. Pretty breezy out there tonight! Sadly any rain or appreciable moisture will have to wait a while longer.
  13. That Christmas was something else. I remember looking for the switch for the a/c that morning and then realizing we’d turned it off nearly 2 months prior! That day was the definition of torch.
  14. I’m in coastal mass (near scituate) so I got a brief little burst late last night from that storm passing by to our south. Nothing like the previous event but def caught me off guard for a bit! Enjoy all the early colors everyone else to the north.
  15. 72/70 Frogs hopping around post monsoon, air is perfectly dank and moist, no jackets or sweatshirts needed..beautiful!
  16. Man RI and the South coast is getting slammed right now..if we could just keep that heading north a little ways and we’d all get a good soaking!
  17. Good cluster of t-storms entering RI now. Enjoy the big drink to all those out west! Def a few rumbles with those too.
  18. Yeah it’s crazy though, such a different vibe after the last few weeks of generally cool and dry weather. I friggin love it!
  19. Just a little steamy out there this evening. The ol Florida Everglades have decided to pay us a visit apparently, quick downpours and manbuns included.
  20. She ain’t done yet baby..soak it in and let the moisture flow later today!
  21. You’re crazy man lol. I was scared witless that night..every few minutes, a fresh tree came down and you never knew where the next one was gonna land. The gusts had to be legitimately over 100 at its peak. It was like being in the middle of a screaming washing machine for many hours. And then there was the long cleanup which took weeks. Trust me torchy, it’s no good!
