  1. We’ll get it briefly in early nov and probably early April as a few mangled, fat flakes and as usual, everything in between will be variations of chilly and warm rain, mixed in with occasional periods of 65 degree mist and fog. Of course, northern New England is a whole different realm so you know they’ll have their many moments of glory.
  2. September? Man, you must’ve taken a time Machine about 3 months into the future! Plenty more days of cool, misty and melting snowflakes lie ahead.
  3. It’s finally slowing down here but it’s nice to get a full day soaking for the first time in months. Sometimes a rainy Sunday just feels right! Looking at just around 1.7” since yesterday evening.
  4. And the rain keeps falling..we have to be over an inch in just the last few hours now
  5. Looks like one more batch is about to push through. Thought I just saw a quick flash too.
  6. Very dark here with a few good rumbles. I think the skies are gonna open up very soon!
  7. Nice to see almost everyone getting a good drink, even if a little more would be nice. We take and embrace summers return for a while. Back to frolicking around the yard in the tightest shorties known to man!
  8. It’s crazy how the dry air really allows temps to take off during the day and of course, drop off just as fast in the evening when the sun sets. Reminds me of the first half of April.
  9. Without a doubt! I was reading a couple postings recently that mentioned how the females actually leave first, then the males and finally the juveniles. But I’m still seeing a good number of all types so maybe they’ve yet to make the journey south. Either way, I’m leaving mine up until the last stragglers head on out, especially if this month is mostly mild.
  10. I hope we can squeeze out some decent rain events this month. There’s a lot of dry patches starting to pop up in non-shaded areas. Perhaps the tropics can deliver a few goodies to us?
  11. Sad to see the hummers making their final preps for migration but always glad to be of assistance to the coolest birds in town. It’s a long haul across the GoM to Central America so every sip counts for the little speedsters.
  12. We shall inevitably revisit this post again on Halloween, Christmas and perhaps Valentine’s Day and get a good chuckle out of it. At least the a/cs get a respite for the time being.
  13. For me, it was the oct 2021 blown down..when half the trees in our neighborhood were knocked down and we had no power for a week. Besides that January storm it’s been 60s/70s in February, seemingly never ending spring rain storms and days of brutal heat and dryness well into the fall. Let’s see if the fun continues going forward!
  14. Yep felt that one earlier in the day. Was taking a little snooze and then heard what sounded like a gunshot going off next door. Must’ve been a direct cg hit within a mile or so. Startled the hell out of me and the ol pooch lol. We’ll take the quick half inch or so from those downpours..every bit counts right now!
  15. When I was a little kid I remember shuffling the water around in the bathtub to simulate a boat in the middle of a raging storm. Needles to say, big momma was never pleased afterwards.
  16. Close, norwell..just a little southeast of there
  17. That cell popped up just to our west, what are the friggin odds lol. Perhaps a quick half inch in the tank?
  18. Some of my best memories as a kid are spending weeks down the cape in harwich with the fam and all my cousins and just relaxing, playing games, hucking rocks at seagulls and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. The days well before smartphones and the internet took over practically everything. It’s something you never forget and it kills me that half my family has either moved south or is no longer with us. It’s not the same without the people you love.
  19. Come on now, that’s half the fun of the summer. The family jewels are as low as they’re gonna go and when ya sit down after a good steamy walk, ya gotta make sure your legs don’t accidentally crush anything!
  20. 57 and rain (at least it’s raining) Coc k!
