How best to embed pictures?

I see many different options when I type it into chatgpt or Grok. Just wondering how you guys do it. Can't seem to find a thread with answers.

Some are apparently allowed more data use on the Board so they can attach directly without using other Programs to do it. I'm only allowed 23.21 kbs. Used to be several Mbs , plenty enough . Don't know why the cut.

I was using imagebb, but some people said it was not showing up for them. 

So now I use Postimages — free image hosting / image upload

You have to copy the hotlink to forums on the postimages site, and on the bottom right side of post under "other media", choose "insert image from url".

From experience, the main thing is that the file is of normal size and not too heavy. And I also check that the picture is in jpg or png. Before posting, I sometimes edit photos if there are unnecessary details or people in the background. I was looking for a simple way to do it quickly and found a guide https://community.setapp.com/workflow/remove-people-from-photos-on-mac, there they show how to prepare a photo before publishing so that it looks clean. In general, I wouldn't bother much. Just choose the simplest way that works for your platform.

Sometimes I use screenshot tools that immediately copy the image to the clipboard and can be pasted without files.

go into your profile-?attachments and clear out old photos to free up space.

If uploading from an iPhone, there is an option to reduce the file size. It's not obvious. Find "options" when you are on the phot selection screen.

What this board needs to do is remove the attachment quota (like The Weather Forums does), or at least put it high enough that we don't have to remove our old attachments on a regular basis.
