^ Imagine if that was going to be snow
Yes that would be much more fun to watch the games lol. But this gives me an excuse to be inside.

28/16 in Chester, NJ. Clouds have moved in, the moon has a faint look to it.
Right by you in Morristown. Would love another . 1-3 to refresh the snow pack and clean things up. Im not following maps for such a small storm where its probably a 1-2” difference but just hoping for enough for the kiddo to get some fresh sledding.

It's good when we get a cold pattern in place with the ocean helping us but yea you are right. My area stinks for snow but it's way better than Manhattan.
Didn’t mean to be offensive. I just remember so many time when it snowed a decent amount. Let’s say 3-6 and only grass got covered. Happy you got into the action last storm and hope you get a refresher tomorrow

It all depends on the trajectory. Philly and SNJ looks prime but the darker blue keeps getting close to the south shore of NYC
Snow in the city is basically rain unless you get 6+. Everything just melts on contact in *most* areas. Would hate to live there for snowstorms.

1-3/2-4 — not much to track until reaLtime obs. A wiggle north. A wiggle south. Both will happen until the snow falls. Models pretty much useless at this point for this mini event.

I love tracking in real time, this is far better than just model reading.
Agree that’s why I don’t care about each model run. General patterns are all that are needed. Half an inch here or there who cares. Like seeing the real time tracking and meteorology aspect of these.

I’ll take another 1-3” - not gonna worry about an inch or two difference either way.

WSW upgraded from 7-10 to 8-13. Thinking we could get to double digits here as we’re just over 7”

Probably about 6” when I just went out. Will be interesting to see the official totals.

About 3-4” and looks like another couple hours of moderate now here in NNJ

NAM coming in much weaker

given the maturing mid-levels in a great spot S of LI, wouldn't shock me to see persistent 1-2"/hr rates. this is especially true given the crosshair signature in NNJ... this is a cross section for MMU showing considerable lift situated in the DGZ with multiple hours of 0.2"/hr of QPF
going 6-10" for Morristown, 5-8" for NYC with upside for more if banding ends up strong. I have a hunch it will. this is for colder surfaces... there will be less on pavements
As a Morristown guy I’m hoping you’re right

Was missing to the north now the south lol. Gotta love it.

You know what's great about this? We truly never actually know. That's part of the fun. People think they know, but they don't. We have good guidance but we can't nail it down.
It was said in jest but rarely does the bullseye work out. I’d be thrilled with half of the 7-10 they’re predicting. Especially if it was towards the top end (5)
