  1. I knew they weren’t getting 3 feet of snow. That like never happens. Usually ends up over us or north
  2. Usually is the last 48hrs it will shift nw if it’s going to.
  3. People never learn that if it looks good at day 5 for you then you probably aren’t going to be the jackpot by game time.
  4. It’s not, euro precip maps struggles at showing sleet. Half that area showing zr is actually sleet.
  5. I haven’t seen a 10” storm in a place that should see 10” storms in 10 years so I’m hoping to hit at least that.
  6. That was yesterday old news the data was in 0z last nights runs
  7. So the storm only lasts 12hrs for him too? lol snows for a few hours then 4-5hrs of sleet is like a 12hr storm. What happens for the other 6-12hrs? lol
  8. Lost a decent amount of qpf that run this why snow totals ultimately dropped. Hopefully just a dry run.
  9. Thankfully today’s temps don’t matter lol. Just like how we drop 5 degrees colder before a system and think that will help the storm stay colder longer and then the clouds roll in and it shoots up to 32 lol
  10. 10 years ago today we were about to get smoked with the blizzard of 2016! Last actual last big storm around here. Let’s get smoked again!
  11. First ice storm warning in Alabama and it sounds grim. ...ICE STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT FRIDAY NIGHT TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Significant icing expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations between one quarter of an inch to one inch. * WHERE...Colbert, Franklin AL, and Lauderdale Counties. * WHEN...From midnight Friday Night to 6 PM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting power outages. Expect power outages that last more than a day and extensive tree damage due to the ice. Travel could be impossible. Significant cold weather is expected after this winter weather, so any power outages may result in dangerous indoor temperatures.
  12. The only time the mountains do us a favor. Some places going to see over .75” zr and I just wish them good luck. Power outages will be massive and tree damage will be extreme in those areas especially since the days after the storm it’s not going to melt.
  13. Good luck to anyone in the freezing rain zones, cause it’s not going to to end well.
  14. Kinda similar to the VD sleet storm in 07 just more south version.
  15. Looks like might be little more after that can you post 102 total?
  16. Gfs is colder cause the isn’t driving into Toronto
  17. Looks like mostly a hold? Tiny move north?
  18. Not much difference thru 48 either. Maybe the NW energy isn’t as strong and a little east
  19. Thru 36 same thing pretty much the same except heights are like 25 miles south in the east lol
  20. No serious changes to gfs thru 24. If anything the confluence is a tiny bit stronger.
  21. Ain’t worried about qpf on the models yet that will bounce around till tomorrow. Let’s get temps good first
