Accuwx going with a warm, wet autumn for us with perhaps some tropical mischief. Sounds like the current pattern keeps rolling along.
-
^lol...I'm getting a heavy shower right now with my car windows down. (But yeah, I realize it's very localized.)
-
Winds starting to pick up a little--I'd guesstimate in the 25-30mph range. Not much more than that happening atm.
-
The stuff coming up from DE is weakening. Still some heavy stuff in northern Chestco/western Montco. Wondering if the current patch of rain over me will weaken that too?
-
Rain has started. Don't know about flying cows, but swimming cows are a distinct possibility!
-
Getting dark here. Hearing some thunder as radar is showing something just starting to pop to my west.
-
Getting some random rain drops from a pop-up shower. 83F/72DP
-
Models say that stuff in central PA should die off before reaching us. We'll see...

Your age is showing...lol. I haven't heard that term in a long time but I know what you mean since I'm only a couple years behind you. It's all "wine and spirits" now as far as I know/seen.
A couple sprinkles but the steady/heavier stuff is closing in...
I only said State Store because I didn’t want to make Agnes feel old...lol!
Actually I remember going there as a kid w/my parents—you couldn’t touch anything. You’d give your order to the guy at the counter and he’d go in the back and get it for you.

Starting to get some rain drops and I haven't made it to the state store yet!
-
Been in a bit of a lull, but getting very dark here again. Looks like round #2 is on my doorstep. Temp down to 76F.
-
Been absolutely dumping here for the last 1/2 hour. Some thunder and lightning, but not much wind.
-
^Looked like there were some flood advisories up your way this morning.
Skies are starting to brighten. I think it will be a steam bath out there once the sun breaks through. However, tomorrow is the only day forecasted to be in the 90's for me this week -- not much of a heat wave compared to late June/early July.
-
Rain just started here, hearing some thunder too.
-
Finally hearing my first cicadas today, I think I'm a week or two behind some of you. Guess the central Montco brood likes to sleep in.
-
Here comes round #2. There doesn't appear to be any lightning associated with these storms -- perhaps just heavy showers this go around.

Now getting some light rain from that enough to wet the sidewalk and make it steamy. Seeing occasional lightning but it seems like the bulk of the original line was a swing and a mess over the city. A new stronger line looks like it has formed in Montco. Landsdale looks like it is getting nailed from that.
Yep!
Like Birds~69, I got hit twice. Just as the storm seemed to be winding down, another area redeveloped just to my west and rolled on through. My temp did drop to 73F but has since rebounded to 75F. Very steamy out there.

July-Sept update...
AccuWx going with temps and precip averaging near normal for our region. Bouts of severe wx still possible but the worst of it looks to be upstate NY and New England.

Worcester - 1.32 " of rain but in my backyard the big deal was the wind. Lost a large white pine (maybe 40' high??) Snapped (or twisted???) off 1/3 up from the ground. Took out my neighbors fence as well. I was not home and missed all the action. I will look in the AM to see if there is an evidence of a lightning hit.
Wow, that's amazing! You're not that far from me and not much of anything happened here (not that I want my trees to come down). I heard plenty of thunder throughout the afternoon and evening and the skies got dark at times, but that was about it.
-
The storm was a non-event here, other than thunder and a gust of wind or two. The rain stayed to my east but it did drop the temp down to 84F.

Getting some loud thunder claps with big rain drops, but nothing too heavy yet.
-
Overnight low of 76F here too (81F at midnight). Maybe some pop up storms today will "cool" someone off? (But will probably only add to the dews.)

Hopefully it was empty, lol.
It was full! Too early for trash collection. Goes to show how heavy the rain was. KYW said 4" per hour rates in spots, I believe it.
In other news, I did remember to roll up the car windows last night ... whew!

And there's my neighbor now dragging it back...lol!

Seems central Montco has been the Goldilocks zone -- no flooding rains, but a steady stream of showers/occasional downpour everyday to keep things wet out there.
