  1. Playing acushnet Friday afternoon this week and hillside in Rehoboth Sunday morning.
  2. That is actually where I got the price that was over $400 lol. That would have been very nice since they are literally 5 mins from me. Anyway, I’ll keep you posted and take a few pics when they arrive. They are slated for the beginning of August, so I’m a little concerned about transplanting them in hot weather, but from what I’ve read, as long as I’m diligent with water, they should be fine
  3. Had a decent round today at West Bridgewater Country club.... 92
  4. Yeah... I’m guessing it’s probably about an inch or inch an a half... that would probably translate to a 6-8 foot tree. The one I looked at today was maybe 2” or a little bigger... it was a decent looking tree... but $475 is a lot of money. I went ahead and bought the tree, with the 1 year warranty, which was only 14 bucks, so if I get a dud, I’ll just send it back. I also bought a Japanese maple, 2-3 feet tall for $30 bucks. It’s very small I’m sure but if I can get it to grow, it’s worth the gamble
  5. I for some reason have a lot of trouble getting a good hard swing on my irons. Can’t get the mechanics to all lock in for a nice shot. It’s kind of a wonky swing unless I just do a short like half burst almost
  6. Anybody have experience with a website know as fast growing trees? Reviews seem pretty solid and they seem to do quite a bit of business. I went to a place today and the price of an October glory red maple was over 400 dollars... so I found a 7 foot tall one on this site for a little under $200. Any ideas how big of a bucket that size tree will come in? Maybe @dendrite?
  7. Playing west Bridgewater country club tomorrow morning, formerly known as riverbend
  8. Yup... I have a folder where I keep them, just in case.
  9. Home Depot was 50% off trees this weekend. Picked up a flowering cherry for 50 bucks and 2 good sized dwarf Alberta sources that are about 5 feet tall for 60 bucks a piece.
  10. That would be sweet. I played like crap today... shot a 102 and absolutely melted down on the last 2 holes. Smashed my club into the ground and tossed it about 50 yards. Not great
  11. Playing sandwhich hollows tomorrow morning. 50 bucks with a cart
  12. Shot a 93 at acushnet River valley.... really nice course... probably my favorite so far
  13. Explosive hips is the one consistent thing in all the big drivers. Got to be able to rip through
  14. I don’t mind walking... we’ve only had a cart once this year and we’ve been probably close to 2 dozen times. Friday looks warm though and it is actually more to walk at this course believe it or not... don’t know what the deal is there. We paid $60 bucks to walk at olde Scotland links a few weeks ago and my buddy had a complete meltdown so he said he’s never paying that much to walk a course again lol
  15. Playing acushnet River valley on Friday. 40 with a cart for 18
  16. What are some good drives for folks here distance wise? I connected on a few good ones the other night that dribbled past 275... probably like 285-290.
  17. My drives are getting better... I’m usually making solid contact... but some of them tail off so bad to the right. A few at the range the other night swung literally left to right across the entire range. (I’m right handed)
  18. I’m not very good, but we at least keep it moving. There really isn’t an excuse even if your bad. We got stuck a few groups behind a group of four guys with carts who were the slowest golfers I’ve ever seen at olde Scotland last Saturday. Took us over 5 hours to play the round. It got so backed up on the par 5 18 there were 3 groups playing the hole at a time.
  19. Does poqouy have gps carts? I’ve heard rumors they do.
  20. Played hillside country club in Rehoboth yesterday morning. 18 with a cart was $20! With a hot deal on golf now. Course was in pretty good shape
  21. You can see the darker patches in the lawn... I think I went a little light on the Milorganite. I have a quarter acre lot and only used one bag... I probably should have used 2 maybe even 3
  22. So this is when we bought the house last March... just the house... the entire yard was sand rocks and overgrown weeds. Processed asphalt temporary walkway. This is a picture today. Done this basically by myself in the last year and 3 months. Lawn still isn’t there, (area by the road is a mess from salt and what not) but I’m happy with what I’ve done on a limited budged and time.
  23. Weed and feed doing it’s thing for all the haters that said I put fertilizer down to late . Clover is dying and better grass is filling in
  24. I know Moosup where Ginx lives is in eastern Connecticut so I just mapped that was a point. Moosup is an hour and 5 minutes from me @RUNNAWAYICEBERG
  25. I’ll play a round with you at some point... meet in the middle?
