  1. The Holes are maybe a quarter to half inch at most? I suppose it could be ants, but I never see them, and they have been there since like late winter. Ifs obviously affecting growth there. I’m hoping it’ll fill in. I flung some seed down on Sunday.
  2. I haven’t see anything out there to be honest, no worms, bugs, anything. It’s weird. And it’s just in that area
  3. Yeah, it could Be bees I guess. They are like perfectly round and I don’t see evidence of burrow piles or anything. I threw some seed down and tried to take it into the holes, we’ll see what happens. I don’t think it’s grubs
  4. So what could be happening here. The lawn is pretty thin/dead/whatever here. And in this section there are hundreds if not thousands of perfect round holes. Kind of captured them in the second pic.
  5. Cool, my neighbor has literally everything except tomatoes and peppers in already. He said he’s always been fine unless we get a really hard freeze
  6. Will them bring in pots on the deck help if we get a borderline frost? I’ll probably start with lettuce spinach carrots and scallions today
  7. Thanks, I guess a better question would be, what can’t I plant? We are doing pots on the deck. I know probably another 3-4 weeks for tomatoes, Cucumbers?
  8. Can I plant lettuce, pole beans, carrots, spinach, and scallions tomorrow?
  9. One of my sneaky favorite things on this forum is when you post old grass pics. I literally laugh out loud. It’s like what someone trying to grow grass on the surface of Mars would look like.
  10. Yup. I have a few friends who are cops that swear it is just as bad, if not worse. DWI is DWI, regardless of substance.
  11. Beautiful tree. I love how full it is right to the bottom and almost has a bit of a weeping feature going on. That’s an incredibly healthy tree
  12. Yeah, mine should have room to get to that size of the lone one. No surprise the other ones didn’t work out though. Looks like they were planted 2 feet apart lol
  13. Thinking more towards Plymouth for work tomorrow. Looks like gusts to 50?
  14. Dropped lime and fert today, finished all my mulching and planting as well. Bring on the rain.
  15. Also, is there any reason I can’t trim the spruce to keep them all the exact shape I want them?
  16. I gave them a good amount of space. It’s weird because we got the inspiration from a house we lived near growing up. They planted them probably no more than 5 feet apart and they are probably 20 feet tall if not bigger now and look awesome. Almost like they didn’t branch out as wide as they could have, but kept there fullness and didn’t grow into each other.
  17. Awesome thanks, I’ll post pics periodically. Love the color, nothing else like it in the neighborhood
  18. Thanks, should the tree overall be fine though?
  19. Hopefully they will be okay then, it looks literally exactly the same as green growth on other spruces, just yellow.
  20. The yellow parts look exactly like the new green growth on other spruces, comparing pictures
  21. It’s a “fat Albert” blue spruce, so I was just curious. I scoured the internet and I guess some blue spruce can produce that type of gold color new growth. I was afraid it was a fungus or something
