Just FYI, China is not really a threat. They are just the latest fear bogeyman being used by the government now that the Muslim terrorism fear that has carried us since the 1990s has petered out.

The real enemy is the tiny elite that controls over 50% of wealth worldwide and wields enormous power over governments and militaries.

China just very aggressively wants to "do business" with the world and have their status as a great power recognized. They have zero interest in starting a war with their best trading partners. The modern history of China is a series of humiliations forced on them by other world powers; you need to grasp that history to understand why they seem paranoid and aggressive sometimes.

If the common man wants to get fired up and take the fight to the enemy, he should get a mob together and visit people like Bezos, Zuckerberg, Dorsey, the banking families, and various politicians. That's a good start.

Ya i understand where your coming from with all that. But being secretive everytime you have a SARS outbreak isnt helping the world.

The first sentence is one that would have a ton more focus on it if this lab was in Russia or Iran .

Either the US is sorta holding this as an ace in its sleeve for leverage or threatening China in future or something seems off.

Everyone seems scared to call China out on anything. Its actually sickening. From NBA sponsors to Governments.

Stayed in Cleveland last night and the place was packed.   Stayed at the same location in November and we may have been the only people there.   Normalcy is overrunning covid.

Only thing i notice about covid is the people still driving around wearing face masks. Even if they are alone in the car. Smdh.

Like its gonna sneak threw their car vents and attack them

China throwing all sorts of FUD into the market because the digital Yuan has been a failure and they don't want it being over run by Bitcoin, Litecoin etc.

The market was due for a correction but the bull run will start back up.

I bought $200 worth of bitcoin and $30 worth of random cheap coins. First time ever investing into crypto. I should of listened to my ex boss 5 years ago but didnt. We made fun of him instead. Hes the one laughing now

Crypto prices are going to take some dives but eventually settle into a more stable price point.  P2P block chain based financial transactions are here to stay.

There is almost nothing central banks or governments can do about it if private citizens want to use this technology to make untraceable transactions.   Even if BTC was only worth a dollar it can still be used as an agreed-upon medium of exchange as long as enough people agree to it.

Im just starting to get into crypto investing. Im learning about the exchanges, wallets and security.

True, but we all still need to get up and go to work in the morning, aliens or not.
Seriosly though, if aliens are visiting I doubt there would be a full reveal.  That would cause some issues for religions and governmental power structures.
My take on it has always been that if “they” are here they have probably been here for a long time, maybe longer than us.

Ya they probably like what these monkeys up to now

Did anybody catch the Air Force UFO (UAP) piece on 60 Minutes last night?
It basically was pentagon and Air Force personnel saying the phenomena is real, physical and not of United States origin.
I guess I had not realized that there were hundreds of sightings by Navy and Air Force guys over the past decade.

Anyway, it was a little weird. They are definitely teasing stuff out leading up to this June report that is due.  The report will probably say the craft are of Chinese and Russian origin and we need to double our defense budget. LOL

My seafood shipping business has tripled in valuation due to COVID.

My retirement is in sight at 42. These people are simply wonderful.

Im sure it is. Thats where all the money was being made during the height of the pandemic.

Sounds morbid but if i owned that type of business i wouldnt want the pandemic to end.

Lot of scared vaxxed folks out here. Hope they find some way to feel safe again.

Probably not. Some people are never gonna leave their homes again. They are pretty much scarred for life.

I have a ranking for the models that I’m somewhat familiar with

    tier 1- Euro

    tier 2- Canadian, navy, href

tier 3- ukmet, nam, srefs, rgem

tier 4- icon, kma, Jma, Brazilian metrogram, Australian, hrrr, rap

    tier 5- deep thunder

    tier 6- gfs, para

In my opinion all models tier 4 and worse are garbage and aren’t even worth looking at other than purely for entertainment. Tier 3 is ok, horrible models to use on their own but can be decent in niche situations (Nam is decent for picking up warm layers in marginal setups 24 hours out, ukmet can be decent with upper level pattern but not surface temps, ect). Tier 2 is when you start getting into respectable models that are worth blending more heavily into your forecast, though the forecaster should take their flaws into account and adjust for them. Eg Href is the best short range model, navy has an se bias but is great at sniffing out storm tracks in the medium range, ect). Tier 1 is the euro, which is the best model by far. It is the best model there is in the long range for sniffing out patterns and it isn’t close. It is also a great model in the medium and short range, right up until the storm is over your head. It does over amplify and slow the southern branch down too much at times in the medium range, so that has to be taken into account when making a forecast. For ensembles vs op when making this ranking I include the entire suite in the ranking, as the ensembles share similar characteristics to the OP. They are pretty much what you get if you take the OP run and run it 20+ times with minute changes to the upper air pattern each one. This makes ensembles more useful in the long range where minute upper air changes in the short term lead to massive changes in the long term. In the medium and short range, the higher resolution OP is better.

In the long range (8+ days out) I like an 80% european 20% Canadian blend, in the medium range (3-7 days out) I like a 50% European/30% Canadian 20% Navy blend, and in the short range I like a 30% European/20% HREF/15% Canadian/15% Navy/20% a blend of Tier 3 models of choice depending on which model is best for the setup we are in. This short range blend definitely needs the most work as I have been noticing many of my short range forecasts are busting due to me picking the snowiest short range models and blending them. My long and medium range system has been decent, but the short range is more of a work in progress as I am realizing that when I give myself room to pick my weenie bias leads to me picking the snowiest models even when it isn’t justified.
