Finally getting a decent burst as it gets ready to exit. Not accumulating, but pretty.

what did you end up with round 2 just can’t seem to get its act together for us here.
I have no idea. I'm guessing we had around 2" when I went to bed last night, but rain/sleet compacted into a semi-liquid sludge. Round 2 has been largely non-existent, save for a few brief bursts.

What a shit sandwich this turned out to be. Congrats to those who cashed in though.

I like what I’m seeing on mesos and radar. Hopefully we can maximize across the state as temps drop today.
Radar does look promising. I'm hoping we can flip back to snow and score an inch or two, but not counting on it.

We rain for the most part.

Agreed on the wind. The snow is certainly underperforming here. 1.6" and the temp has increased 1 degree in the last hour. 30.0 / 29.7
I'm hearing some pings against the window here. Sigh.

First 3 hours of snow as of 8:30pm have amounted to .6" the DEMON has just moved overhead with 30-40dbz for the next while it seems. Lets see if we can get to 6" or more for this storm..
Huge flakes with this band.

Had a little Jebwalk just now. The snow is very squeaky under foot and clinging to everything. It's beautiful. I missed this.

He’s actually a good met but a) rides the euro way too much and b) doesn’t have good social skills.
Remember his melt during the mid-Atlantic blizzard when the NAM outperformed the Euro and screwed the Richmond area? It was pretty epic.

The WAA thump is all but guaranteed at this point. That’ll provide you with several hours of fun.
.Yeah I mean even seeing snowflakes is a win at this point. Better than the mosquitoes flying around outside two weeks ago.

I had one storm here that dropped 5-6” last year…I don’t believe there was a Warning for that, but an advisory. 12.3” on the season last year lol.
Yeah, I don't believe we had any winter storm watches last year. I slant-sticked my way to 9" on the season. Abysmal. God I hope this comes through.

A lot of the models are showing a valley snow shadow . Just something to notice
It’s been more like a black hole for two years. I can work with a shadow. Whitening the grass is a huge win at this point.

Second longest streak on record without a 2” daily snowfall at BDR. Sixth longest at BDL without an inch I think.
I’m trying not to get too invested in this. It’s been a brutal stretch and don’t need to set myself up for heartbreak. I will say that a good portion of this could be during the daylight hours, which in my book is always a big win.

Still pouring outside. Absolute soaker once again with 2.75" and counting from this event. Over a foot (of MF'n rain) month to date. I'm up to 76.75"+ on the year. Certainly the wettest on record at my place.
Heading to our VT place at 2300' with the family this morning... we'll enjoy the mud.
This year has been obscenely wet down here. Let’s hope we can get some decent cold into the mix going forward—big ask I know.

Enough of the gd heavy rain every week.

I saw mosquitoes flying around outside today. WTF.

If the 2009-2010 pattern becomes more apparent and real as we close in, you simply travel to get your fix. Did it in Feb 2010 drove to a diner in Nyack waiting for the changeover and then chased it driving home. Hopefully we won’t see that sharp cutoff scenario again this winter.
.It's funny. In my memory that winter was an absolute dumpster disaster, but we actually got like 38". I would kill for that kind of season these days.
