A warm one today cutting firewood, 77/51 already. Ticks, flies, and skeeters out in force. Should top out around 81. The 1.6” of rain last week is a distant memory.
That's the one thing I can say for the dryness. Lack of mosquitoes..

From best spring ever to what's looking like a terrible summer to start at least.

Let's see if next Monday's system holds together, would really dent the drought situation.
Fingers ( and everything else) is crossed.
Not gonna lie though I am loving the temps into next week!

Guess I'm old fashioned, I like a nice lawn.
Oh I like a nice lawn. Just don't care as much if living in the city. I have a nice lawn/yard here.
Philly could use more trees the issue is people tend to park on the sidewalks ( terrible shortage of available parking ) greatly limiting where trees can grow. If you are not parked by 5 forget it you are gonna be either double or in some cases triple parked blocks away. Unfortunately sections of Philly was built before the automobile.

Yeah philly is ugly
Center City isn't too bad as is some of the ne part of the city. Been a bit of progress in recent years.
I personally was ok with it. What I didn't like was parking or driving with the traffic there. Plus it's expensive.

terrible, mine is lush and green
unless your neighborhood is at least 100 years old, the tree canopy is gonna be trash
Oh it's over 100 yrs old. My Grandmother was born in the house next to the white one on the right 101 years ago. My house was the white one.

The "Morch" and near-total lack of snow the preceding winter didn't help, I'm sure.
You got that right.

You all can have the high wind and severe hail that's been had here the past decade or so..
As for the lack of for the rest of the state I think part of it seems like terrible timing with frontal passage etc. Always seems to arrive at night and or early in the day.
Amazes me how it can be like night and day between the SW corner of this state ( south of i96 and west of i69 ) and the rest of it.

Same here! This is real spring. The 90+ crap can stay away unless I am at the beach during summer.

Yea I guess I just get excited when April comes, expecting consistent warmth which isn't the norm. It would just be nice to get a torch April or March, and that just hasn't happened in awhile.
After March 2012 I'll pass on that. Usually leads to a torch summer especially if it's a dry spring across the region. Or so it seems. I just know I want no parts of that summer again..
