The GFS/Euro/GGEM aren't even handling the energy massively differently coming out of Canada into the southwest anymore. These differences are becoming very cyclogenesis-driven.

i've been thinking this in the back of my head, but everyone's been talking about how new and improved it is so I figured ignoring how it's failed on virtually every blockbuster coastal in the past decade was the posh thing to do. plus the euro did bad last week or something, I think I swore off using it forever so I'm kind of stuck with the GFS now.
