Morch isn’t a winter month anymore...
That's right, strict seasonal guidelines. Spring from 3/1 - 6/1 and summer with 100/75 from 6/1 -9/1.

WSW for West Virginia and Virginia. This is for snow Sunday and Monday. Is that related to this storm?

Looks as if the Northwest Passage never opened?
A relatively weak melt season in terms of area and extent, but volume continues to show limited recovery.
The passage had the earliest ever transit this year on July 29th.

He must be kidding, there is no way you can call a foliage season on July 31st.
I agree with you though, it has been a great summer in terms of comfort. I have only had five or six air conditioning days at home. ( more than that in the car of course)
Yes I'm joking and waiting for the Tolland foliage expert to call the season in 4-6 weeks.

Good thing the trough axis is to our West this week, days and days of 60's.

58F here currently which is -9F below normal for a high temperature. The 10 day outlook here from Weatherunderground shows nearly every day to be below normal temperature wise.

The only problem?
Duh duh duh day 10.
However, the teleconnectors from the GEFs have really been hitting a truly miserable, craptastic pattern for the first half of May. So... these long range computer day dreams of blue glory aside ... if you are a spring enthusiast, you may want to seek another hobby until further notice.
It's been a really solid signal - we'll see how the dailies go down.
