It’s really not that late to have a coating. And not that cold. I had 3” back on 4/18/20. And 1” 4/16/14.
Ski Sundown opened on December 13th 2024 and December 28th 2023. It rained after opening in 2023 and they had to close for grooming and snowmaking in early January 2024. So an extra 2 weeks of season this year. And opened this year with 100% of their trails because it was cold and good for snowmaking. Got in 7 days. January 5th to March 16th.

It’s not late at all in the valley. However, as you get away from the fake temps, we grow.
Cold statewide. Not just the valley areas. And accumulating snowfall on April 12th. Never seen snowfall that late outside of the mountains. Hopefully its done. Been a cold Winter. Though dry.

Currently clear skies and 28F. Getting late for subfreezing temperatures.

I wish March had snowfall here in Enfield so I could say it snowed for 5 months this season. Bradley claims a trace in March. But I missed it.

Snow 34F grass turning white. Big flakes. I'm amazed it's snowing in the CRV in nearly mid April. And the third snow event for April.

Silly movie term for my location. I'm right next to the Connecticut River. Fairly warm here.

Snowed for about 4 hours here this morning. Mostly around 34F. So melting on contact. Still impressive for a valley gjrl.

Rain flipped to snow here around midnight. Currently snow and 34F. Never seen snow this late outside of Killington. Looks like more tomorrow night.

The snowpack has a armour coating of ice from the freezing rain.

If it wasn't for that January thaw killing pack it would have been epic.
Really good skiing conditions though. Jiminy Peak for my Birthday in November. Snowfield skiing at Sugarloaf in January. And waist deep powder at Ski Platekill in March.
