Putting up a goose egg (or damn near) in one of the four winter months does not help your cause of hitting climo SF. Fact. Let’s move on from this debate. I know this period sucks, but man…every winter.

Impressive to think models are advertising 10+ days rain free as we head into February.

Is BOS still < 10” on the season?

I haven't felt this taxed and defeated in a long time. Just an all around shit feeling. Enjoy the snow...those that got it. I probably would take the day off and just walk around in the snow, should that day ever come this year.

At least I’m not alone with this feeling. I know exactly how you both feel.

Double digits! 2.6” more to beat last season’s total.
+1” (1/29)
11” on the season.
*1.6” more needed to beat last season.

This is like a snowfall in early April in the early 2000s. Garbage locally.

Normally the thought of cold and dry makes me I'll, but I could use some frigid air to eat into some of this season's huge positive departures.
Let the outlook go. I need some mildish sun soon or I may lose it.

Hopefully we can get a big event late Feb to avoid another total rusty coat hanger.
I'd take a weekend KU (if I had my choice) to round off Feb. Close schools on a Monday and then warm it up as we head into Morch.

Roads are just wet out this way. High vis white rain at the moment.

Fire up the Winter 2024-2025 thread? Can we get #7 in a row?

Man, my favorite part of the GFS is how it ends with a cutter around February 10th after Fujiwaraing about 9 ULLs all around us....and that is a high probability outcome.....that is happening, folks. Absolute synoptic sodomy on full display. I'm sure I'll awaken to weenies amidst conciliatory and defensive lectures about the uncertainty around day 10 model runs, blah, blah...but where the uncertainty lies is with respect to whether or not the mid Atlantic/se cashes in on this and just how epic it will be. But what I do know is that we aren't getting d1ck form that OMEGA block. Yet another high-end potential that we are going to come away empty handed on and it makes me just want to kick Mother Nature right in the fu**ing teeth. I'm not saying winter is over, but what I am saying is that this is another useless pattern that is ostensibly full of potential....kind of like the Red Sox "interest" in any free agent with a pulse and modicum of skill.
This is the post I needed to read this morning.

Where do you live? Late March and April suck in SNE way more often than not.
And at this point, it’s closer to 7 plus weeks before spring walks in on 3/22.
Instances March sun and light wind are to be treasured after 36F cloudy/dank weeks at a time in mid winter.

Interior looks decent for a good serving of mashed potatoes. Us coastal dwellers probably need to wait a while longer. Maybe an inch or three here Monday, enough to be a nuisance.

It’s been cloudy for 2 weeks…with a few minutes of sun here and there. Losing it.
