Very common for the great lakes region. The moisture supply gets choked off when the storm starts to transfer energy to the coast.

Tons of ice out my way. 1 inch of liquid while below freezing. About half an inch of ice on tree limbs.

Take a QPF output 72 hours out and halve it. That's the reality of being this far from the ocean, we don't have the moisture transport.

Could be wild around here. 1.25 liquid falling on my neighborhood while temps are in the upper 20s.

Nobody in Michigan is getting more then 4 or 5 inches. This is a midwest low moisture storm, classic poor performer.

JB always has a world ending cold period just over the horizon.
