  1. I hate cutters more than most everyone, damn them all to hell, but I've learned to accept that they are a fact of life. Certainly won't be the last we see of them this season.
  2. I might be mistaken but things are looking up for this weekend. snow-forecast.com, which I believe is based on the GFS, now has SB at 8" for friday night into saturday. Almost 10" for Stowe.
  3. Caught this in croton while running errands.
  4. It’s good. Really very pleasant out today. Wish we were seeing some more snow in the forecast.
  5. I have my heart set on something above 1500’ in the mrv but was just talking/joking with a friend about British Columbia. They get a lot of snow. Consistently. That would be something.
  6. 26f and snowing again. Solid dusting In The last half hour.
  7. Skied lp today. Perfect snow, just what the doctor ordered. Don’t think we got any sleet but we did get some freezing rain for the briefest of times at least where I was at 3-4K. 2 lifts went on wind hold at about 1:30. Champlain valley totally socked in the other day.
  8. 20f but feels colder. I couldn’t warm up on the mtn today. Too many groomers. Need to get into the trees.
  9. I’ve noticed, all from my very rough memory, that here in the mrv we do better early in the season on the upslope, relatively to points north, Stowe and jay, before they clobber us beginning in January. Totally unscientific but that’s my perception of experience for the last 15 years.
  10. Feel better. My wife just skied for the first time since back surgery 11/19.
  11. Just back from Lincoln peak. Trails really weren’t bad. Some soft snow along with some not so forgiving but overall ok. Crowds were manageable.
  12. 23f and flurries. Looks like we picked up another inch over night.
  13. Nice rebound today here. 2” and counting. Wintry look restored.
  14. Took a a ride this morning to moss glen falls in Granville.
  15. Ha, twc should have a top ten grinch storm program.
  16. I’ve been to Kilington and both Lincoln peak and mt Ellen at sugarbush. Crowds not an issue. They had employees going around reminding people to pull the masks up.
  17. There’s nothing like the squeak of cold snow
  18. I’ve taken to lying down with a heating pad on my back after shoveling. I think it helps but I’ll still be sore tomorrow. There is a nice pack which will brighten things up at least for awhile. Heading up to vt tomorrow. Unfortunately I’ll be 30 miles north of the real heavy totals.
  19. Valentines ‘07 had more than 4 feet up in vt. I want to say there were 5-6’ in spots. I was up there afterwards and it was bat shit crazy. So much snow.
  20. measured another 2" so 11" total here.
