That band sinking north of the District looks like it means business

Some of the best snow of the entire storm now, parking lot caving

Slightly less microscopic sized flakes now

Very very tiny flakes in Centreville

I got burned by the dry slot pretty bad in Centreville. Most of the accumulating snow was over by about 10. Just misty the rest of the day. Probably had about 2 inches before compaction 

Anyone else planning on spending every waking second of tomorrow outside? 

At this range the only question left is if it will be sad drinking or happy drinking

I actually love shoveling the driveway at night while it is snowing. No one else in the neighborhood is doing it then. You can shovel for a little bit then just stand there with absolutely no noise except the flakes hitting the ground and you. It is amazing. And it helps me to do multiple shovels before the snow gets too deep. 

Yes love this! My favorite ever was the first Feb 2010 storm. I would get halfway down the drive, turn around and it would look like I hadn't touched it

Long duration events are my absolute favorite, ill even sacrifice totals (to an extent) for 60 hours of light/mod snow

CWG just reminded me that today is the ten year anniversary of Commutageddon, which was the storm that got me on this forum originally. Still one of my favorite events (because I was home that day). I remember watching the rain rapidly turn to hail and then very heavy wet snow. Eventually lost power and spent the evening making cocoa on the electric stove. Also one of the only times I ever heard thundersnow!

Imagine waking up Monday morning to the Day After tomorrow.. Who am I kidding I would be up all night with that look

So far this winter ive been really quiet about potential threats with my family/friends so as not to jinx them. Hasn't worked so ALL IN on Monday.

Took a nice walk around the block to the Centreville fire station, was snowing lightly most of the time but started to taper off as I got back.
