Yup! So much losing in my lifetime so i'm just enjoying the ride this season regardless of how it ends

Me and the missus drove out into West Virginia last Tuesday to see some flakes. Got about 20 miles outside of Davis before conditions started to deteriorate and I bailed (Downfall of 2W drive). Had a blast regardless, was worth it for the beautiful scenery and some early season action

Got hit pretty good here, decent wind with torrential rain. Came and went quickly but more on the way to the west. 

Getting split in Centreville, some lightning but not much rain

I do enjoy waking up to some rumbles. Mod rain

Manassas is getting clobbered, radar estimated 3 inches just south of me, .3ish so far in Centreville with plenty to come. Very tropical morning.

Several car alarms in my complex just went off with a close strike and BOOMING thunder

Some storms popping up, getting a good late night soak

Seeing all the mess browsing through the main tropical thread really makes me appreciate the work the Mods do here. Anyways, its about time to make the pre-storm beer run

Didn't mean it in a snarky way. I understand that any winter talk in August is based on very early indications, just bemused at any winter talk this early I suppose. Cant say I don’t enjoy thinking about it already

The Winter discussion chat makes me laugh. I firmly believe (hope) that anything compared to last winter will be better.. my bar is not high.. a couple minor events and some chilly afternoons. Before we know it the Polar Vortex of Death will be back on the news

Legit storm in Centreville, neighborhood trees swaying pretty good, momentarily lost power 

Light show now, went on a short drive that felt surreal. This is fake movie set lightning
