Real cruddy drive from Alexandria back to Warrenton. Pouring rain with lots of standing water, when I first hit the line around Gainesville the wind was shaking my car a good bit

B+ for me. The Jan 3 squall was amazing to be out and about in, and was about bulls-eyed for the two big regional events. Need 10”+er for an “A” grade, and would prefer the entire forum get in on the good vibes. Given the expectations going in however, Im pretty pleased.

Was lighting up like a Christmas tree to my west earlier, good show for my evening walk

Down to ~ 6” after compaction, but eyeballing what fell after I measured 6.5” last night I think I got to 7”
-
6.5” the average measurement in my yard, could maybe squeak 7” accounting for compaction. Still falling at a steady clip.

Just Ripping, SN+

Well to be fair with all of the 1/6 comparisons something that may be in this storms favor is better lift in the DGZ which really held 1/6 back from achieving much beyond its low end forecasts
1/6 was a generally good storm for me but flipping to sleet around dawn was a real turd in the punchbowl. Still ended up with ~8” but would probably take an 5” all snow event without a big lull over it.

Im suppose to close on a house the 13th so this is a lock

Eyeballing maybe 5 inches or so out here in Rileyville, too blitzed to go out and measure properly

I saw it asked earlier so apologies if I missed a response, how is it looking for start time Sunday? May need to adjust travel plans in the morning if precip is moving in pre-9am or so

~2” from the ULL. Calling a storm total of 8”
-
Measured 7” just now in Clifton, with compaction maybe call it 7.5” on the day with mod snow still falling
-
Not much doing on the radar but a beautiful snow-globe outside nonetheless
