Feeling much better about next week than I did about the last wintry event. If NYC and Philly don’t break their drought, I would be surprised.

I ended up getting the order giving a nice tip despite struggling financially. Shopper said conditions could have been worse.

I want to have an Instacart food order but it is safe enough for the shopper here around Royersford?

Around 1 inch now but already transitioning to an icy mix.
-
Moderate snow. Just a coating and warmer driveway not covered yet. Hope we get a couple more hours of snow.

Family member model or the FFM says rain or maybe 1"
What are your expectations? Model blend tonight would probably be 1-3” for Royersford so keeping mine around there.

Not at all. I just dont like how warm it looks. Transient cold.
I surprisingly like this storm chance
It’s looking better for the final couple weeks. Hopefully it stays that way. Not optimistic about this storm but things could still trend where the metros like NYC and Philly get more than an inch.

Sports and weather tracking are similar with the ups and downs, and I like both lol. PA suburbs looking better but still would like to see more trending.

If you're south of Philly don't look at the 0z runs...pretty ugly.
The turnpike and 10-20 miles in either direction are hanging on but it's borderline there. Lehigh Valley and Poconos still look to be in a good spot.
I don’t think this is a south of Philly storm. Philly itself or around me may be the battleground. Looked like there were quite a few good 00z GFS ensemble members but heard the Canadien was warm.

This storm has now turned into the Eagles, looked much better in the early going lol
I didn’t know whether to put a laugh or sad face emoji. Laugh until they would lose the first playoff game, lol. Anyway maybe I will at least get enough snow with this storm to beat anything last winter.

If the storm ends up stronger than the models show today, we still have a chance. Needs to have a lot go just right. Easy to give up based on how things have been lately, but still worth following.

5 days out wild card outcomes coming up now in this run for some of these models. Model chaos going ballistic as the minimal PAC buoy info is now being fed into the models which is creating topsy turvy models expectations. . Will correct itself by Thursday morning. Cross your fingers and stay calm as even the Euro is known to do this.
I’d like to see it a little more suppressed right now but it is finally something to track. Would be hard to have another winter as bad as last winter.

Exactly how high is the tornado threat tonight? Is it better the storms are at night?

Not too bad in Royersford - heavy rain, wind not terrible and some lightning. Appears I just avoided the worst.
-
Tornado watch officially issued for the whole area until 11 PM
-
My area has had 3 severe thunderstorm warnings already today. Some wind caused a brief power outage in the hotel.

Yesterday was gorgeous! Outside of winter, it is the kind of day I love. Doesn’t look like many of those ahead so better enjoy it. Maybe it made those mosquitos that got me go away for a bit.

wow
There’s a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Montgomery County. Warning says to also remain alert for a tornado. Right now not for my location.

Under a severe thunderstorm warning. Got windy/rainy with some lightning.

Yeah I expect they EAS broadcast to any (enabled) phone within a TOR Warning's area (and have done it with FFWs, SSWs, etc). I know my weather radio (Sangean) will suddenly go to a real loud volume with TORs and I have to scramble to turn it down.
I’m hard of hearing, so I don’t mind it being loud. But yes, I can see rushing to turn it down. It said “you are in imminent danger,” and yes I dropped some things I was doing at the time. I ended up with little more than some rain. I feel lucky.

Really loud thunder clap at the hotel. Would have woken me up if sleeping. Earlier the electricity was out briefly but came back luckily - would have ruined my first night.

Not really gone but certainly not what it was. Let’s hope we have one of those within 72 hours west shifts.
