Honestly I don't think the low being farther south before it gets east of the apps helps your are too much. Infact one could argue it would lead to an even worse outcome with the low pulling farther inland as it heads north through NC
Seems as if they like to play catchup. Honestly with technology and so much information at our fingertips, the usefulness of the nws is waning. Honestly, anything dealing with the government is so archaic at this point. Like living back in the 80's
Translation....models are in fairly good agreement for a winter storm, especially for the mtns. We're gonna watch it and punt to the next shift. Don't want to look bad putting out a watch 72 hours in advance.
Perfect phasing as it gets to the SC coast to pull it due north through NC and Central VA! The WAA thump on the front end is beautiful. 2" per hour rates almost.
