  4. The couplet and notch is tightening up with the storm over northern Tuscaloosa County. NWS BMX office is watching this storm very closely because of the increase of the inflow

  6. I've been looking at the GOES visible and infrared satellite imagery over Texas. It looks very disturbing. I only see this much wind shear except prior to an explosive severe weather event that includes multiple long tracked tornadoes. The cluster of storms including the long tracked supercell that produced baseball size hail over Six Flags Fiesta Texas as it moved north of San Antonio is one to watch as it gets into the airmass more prompt for severe weather this afternoon.
  7. Ironically this region is long overdue for an enhanced risk of severe weather and tornado threat. This idea of a cool air wedge always protecting North Georgia is silly. It's still in the Deep South, which is known for severe weather.

  9. It has gone up. The coroner says it is now 23 deaths
  10. 14+ fatalities confirmed with the two storms that directly hit Lee County, Alabama near Beauregard, Alabama. The Sheriff's Department said it could be more deaths associated with the back to back tornadoes that hit the southern portion of the county.

  12. Quincy, Florida has reportedly had damage and debris on the roads from the Tallahassee area TW cell
  13. The Columbia NWS office has adjusted the TW to cover the northern circulation that likely triggered a TOG near the Zoo
  14. Per the Columbia NWS, there are two circulations within the cell clusters, a new low level rotation is on the northwest side of Columbia near the Riverbanks Zoo headed towards Eau Claire (north of Downtown)
  15. Per WLTX, there was a TOG near Red Bank, SC in Lexington County, SC.
  16. This storm is now a confirmed tornado per law enforcement and local officials with a tornado debris signature on radar.
  17. The tornadoes that went south of Auburn-Opelika and went through the north side of Columbus (Georgia) has 2 confirmed fatalities in Lee County, Alabama near Beaurgard, Alabama.
  18. Debris signature with the cell in southern Lee County, Alabama headed towards Beauregard.
