  1. Euro says Maytowns one inch call is looking better and better for us down here. I'm going down with ship. I'm still sticking with 1 to 3. Higher end of my call as you head further west.
  2. I would be happy with 2.6 to get my seasonal to 6 inches. That might be asking for too much. If we get nothing no biggie...plenty of time to go.
  3. Yea I can't see why we can't put down at least an inch from this. If precip comes in a little juicier then we tack on. For the second part I believe it's an ice to rain deal. I believe the ice will just be on trees raised surfaces, unless temperatures are colder than modeled.
  4. I'm going with 1-3 with some glaze for our area. Maybe 2-4 out close to bubblerville.
  5. Euro is kind of weak with waa. Some light snow to some freezing. I'm sure someone will post a snowfall map that looks good but they usually do when it shows surface temps near freezing. Euro/ Maytown combo! Uh oh!
  6. It is only Saturday, it is very possible by tomorrow morning all short term models bump north and we rain. I'm just basing off model trends today. We have seen this happen many times. Models pull us in then they slowly back off to just about nothing.
  7. I just got that feeling we are in for a fun and exciting Winter this year. We are going to have our bad periods but I just don't see them being weeks on end. For Monday I could see a 1-3 or even a 2-4. One thing is for sure the models are getting a better handle on 2m temps being a tad cooler. I don't think the entire event will be frozen. It will rain. Next Thursday through Saturday morning look mighty cold. Nice shot of cold coming into the northeast.
  8. Mike...I'm glad you and your wife are all good! I'm familiar with the area you are speaking of. There are a couple of sharp turns on that road. One at west ridge road and the other after that before you go down the steep hill.
  9. 12z Euro a little better for Monday. Waa precip looks better. Surface temps hover in the low 30s Monday night with liquid falling. Maybe we can score an inch or two and some crust, before it goes to all rain. Maytown your two inch theory may work out here.
  10. I'm not saying the storm is a fail yet. It's a long way out. The problem with the snow maps, it sucks in the weenies. If we have an all snow situation and we are close to the event then I'm down with snow maps. Done with rant. Lol
  11. 6 hours later and there is no maps with pretty colors on the 12z gfs for the 21st and 22nd storm. I hope some are keeping a tally of the snow these maps have given us so far this season. It's kind of crazy!
  12. I’m not saying your wrong. You could be 100% right. I just see it differently.
  13. My thoughts are the exact opposite of this. I believe we are headed for at least an average if not above average snowfall this Winter. We still have three months to go.
  14. You and I are really close in totals so far. I would not call 0.1”more than you a snow magnet. Lol!
  15. My elevation is actually a little higher than here at work. Here at the plant we sit at 500. My house is 585.
  16. I had 1.6 inches at the house. It looks like only a half inch here at work.
  17. Its actually more than a layer down here. Nice thump to a good amount of freezing rain. Long way to go!
  18. The 12 Euro is still a nice hit. We mix in parts of the lsv but still a nice thump down here. North and west looks to be mostly snow. Surface temps stay below 32. We are walking a fine line with this system. We are going to go through a lot of ups and downs with this. Hopefully its mostly ups!
  19. 00z Euro for next Tuesday has a significant snowfall for most us on this forum. We see mixing in lsv but still a decent snowfall. Surface temps stay below freezing for the entire event. Still have seven days to go either way.
  20. The 12z euro looks a little interesting next Tuesday. Has snow moving inTuesday morning with a change to a mix in the lsv. North and west stays snow. Not a huge storm but maybe several inches for some. Long way out. It will likely change a dozen times until then.
