Sleet mixing in right now on northern edge of this precip It's been a while since this late of a may mix here.
-
Approaching 1.5" total sleet here now. Approx 1/20th of an inch of ZR (so much for the models saying 0.5" - 1.0" ZR lol).
-
Still 98% sleet for the entire storm here, pretty hilarious job by all the models that were showing lots of ZR.
-
Ugh, the last several HRRR runs are just blasting my area with 1/2" - 3/4" ZR. It should get started here in an hour or two. Luckily I managed 95% sleet for the first round, this round is looking really bad.
-
Hopefully sleet will save the day instead of so much freezing rain
-
Just changed over to sleet / freezing rain here, a few icy spots starting to freeze on my sidewalk, the fun has begun!
-
I'm hoping that sleet is going to save me from 1-2 weeks without power or that the april sun angle might help it melt some during daylight hours, I'm starting to freak out now though with lots of models putting out up to 1" ice here and 27-29 degrees most of the time it's coming down.
-
I was pretty surprised to get almost 2" of high ratio fluff out of this one. Even way up here on the northern fringe of this "storm", I was just expecting a dusting to maybe 1/2 inch.
-
Almost 2" here after the switchover on the very northern edge of the snow band, it's gonna rip real good for you guys south of here! At least I won't have to look at gross frozen grass after all my snowpack melted yesterday at almost 60 degrees.
-
Winning.
-
Had some sprinkles this morning, felt like melting snowflakes on my head, but not ready to write it down as the first official flakes of the season yet.... although the lake effect belts looked good on radar for first real flakes early this morning.
-
It's so cute you guys still have leaves to talk about, 75% of mine are on the ground now, bring on the winter storm tracking season please
-
Yeah looks like the 18z gfs is going more euro like on the track so far thru 54hrs.
-
Very nice storm going a lil north of Oscoda MI rt now.
-
I hope you guys down south get the big rains from the thu-fri system, we DO NOT need anymore here thats for sure lol, a lot of the local farm fields look pretty damaged / stunted from the flooding, it's been drying up ok though the last few days with only a few showers around here.
