I think what I am most happy about is not any model run or nam'ing but the fact that we are cold PRIOR to onset. There is always that chicken/egg argument about get the moisture first and let the cold figure itself out....well...I don't disagree cuz you have to have moisture to snow but dang...the cold seems pretty darn important as well. Good luck all...see you at obs time! I've been on the 3-5" wagon for days now...final call regardless of the morning mid day model runs

Never can I remember our area being in the good bullseye for all of those discussions. Simply amazing...I have a feeling someone will create a thread like this every year about the winter of 09-10

I just remember the excitement of tracking the event and getting really really nervous until the first flakes started flying. It was just an unreal time for us down here and to think....it was just the beginning. I remember so many nights last winter staying up until 2am or so for the euro then getting up early for work. I was exhausted all winter but loved every minute of it.
