Yea, anyone who tells me life today is harder than 50-100-150 years ago, I tune them out pretty quickly.

Seeing your name reminded me that I spoke with two neighbors who already planted summer plants that will die with a freeze. The topic came up because I told them they would lose them last night (and several more times in the next week or two) and both times said they were told winter is over and no more freezing weather was coming. So it was not just Covid fatigue causing irrational thought that Spring was here...there was some misinformation coming from somewhere (I doubt these people watch the bad info in the MA forum so not from there).

Tough one...hard to have a camp, especially during winter, with no fire. Nooners and only 32 in Rou'ville.

I am not sure most people know there is a fire danger right now. Smokey the Bear in Waynesboro has a VERY HIGH on his sign but not much in the news.

Watching the robins hop up into the frozen bird bath and look around with amazement...someone told them spring had sprung and they are now confused :-).

The lack of a wind advisory yet again another misstep by the NWS (IMO) when it comes to forecasting winds. Too frequently focusing on non events and not focusing on the real blowers.

GFS continues to advertise some of the coldest air of the season to end March. Have seen different variants over it the last few days. One day is sunny and stays below freezing the whole day.

Yea, I was going to do some work outside but have to dress too much for it to be comfortable.

I know they do not do wind chill for a temp of 50 but it's downright cold to me with these winds. Wind chills around 0 tonight based on the zone forecast
