  1. Its 33 here so not sure there will be much evidence left. Have not gone outside to see though.
  2. Our warminista's are nice folks just like the coldinista's.
  3. I have been back for 3 winters and do not remember it being this bad the previous two. Not sure if they hate snow or hate being wrong...or a mix of both.
  4. Corrected :-). I have some FB connections of people I thought were normal, level headed people in High School and they are actually looney tunes based on their rants and comments.
  5. See, then I would be in the wrong for stirring the bees nest. But I did think about asking when a WSW was needed for a snow thread. In the last 30 days, lots of people in the MA have lost their snow lovers membership card. Its one thing to root on spring and another thing to troll every post about snow with snide remarks. Edit- Have to appreciate @losetoa6's Moxy to keep ignoring the haters and post info.
  6. NWS AFD mentions this as to why they threw up the WWA. Negatives that it will take a while to saturate but that means dropping temps combined with lack of news coverage and no road pretreatment.

  8. Its good to be in the game. :-). The Sat night temps are probably the most dramatic thing coming up though. WWA just issued for parts of PA, MD, WV and VA. Commute travel.
  9. I will be happy to wake up and be able to find evidence of snow. Friday AM I am hoping for more though. A mulch topper.
  10. Euro bullseyes Williamsport tomorrow (or close to it)
  11. Bad Flu season and still Covid concerns next winter. A large part of the population is not going to get the shot. Now Foxnews is blaming Marvelous Marvin's death on it. But we have veered WAY off weather. Sorry.
  12. Yea, anyone who tells me life today is harder than 50-100-150 years ago, I tune them out pretty quickly.
  13. It's a race to see whether Wall-E or Terminator turn out to be more futuristically correct. (Behind Idiocrasy of course)
  14. But that are getting an extra $12-$14K in stimulus with those 4 under 17 kids.
  15. They drive by Lowes, see the parking lot buzzing with activity, and think they are missing out and have to get their stuff now.
  16. They should not be allowed to care for the lives of plants if that is their determining factor. That would mean last winter never happened because it basically did not snow.
  17. Seeing your name reminded me that I spoke with two neighbors who already planted summer plants that will die with a freeze. The topic came up because I told them they would lose them last night (and several more times in the next week or two) and both times said they were told winter is over and no more freezing weather was coming. So it was not just Covid fatigue causing irrational thought that Spring was here...there was some misinformation coming from somewhere (I doubt these people watch the bad info in the MA forum so not from there).
  18. Tough one...hard to have a camp, especially during winter, with no fire. Nooners and only 32 in Rou'ville.
  19. Another interesting item on the Nam and HRRR. MDT's high tomorrow would be at 11:59PM heading into Wed. 33 or 34.
  20. 12Z Nam QPF totals for tomorrow...mostly frozen though near 32
  21. I am not sure most people know there is a fire danger right now. Smokey the Bear in Waynesboro has a VERY HIGH on his sign but not much in the news.
  22. Watching the robins hop up into the frozen bird bath and look around with amazement...someone told them spring had sprung and they are now confused :-).
  23. Wow. its 19 here this AM. Feel bad rooting for cold air when folks have to stand out in it for something like this.
  24. The lack of a wind advisory yet again another misstep by the NWS (IMO) when it comes to forecasting winds. Too frequently focusing on non events and not focusing on the real blowers.
