    I have seen different models vacillate back and forth on that last week of Feb/first week of March. The thing on the 25th...its rain in State College and snow at the M/D line so not exactly a WSW type event.

    Just looked over all the GFS panels. Its actually not all that warm expect a brief period the 21st-24th.

    Here comes a 'When I was growing up, I walked up hill both ways" story....but my memories of the 70's and 80's make February seem like more "dead of winter cold" especially the first half of the month. No doubt March is winter over time as to average weather. The Sun is a beast but hate when the sun takes away 3" of snow, in a matter of hours, when the temp is below freezing prior to Valentines day.

    We are running out of months where saying the <month here> sun is good news. If it snows in October, the October sun gets it, if it snows in February, the February sun gets it. LOL. We are turning into Florida North!

    Lows of 12-16 the next two nights will temper that a bit. Plus you stand a good chance of another coating-2" tonight.

    The rest of winter is cancelled per the annual winter canceller in the MA thread.

    HRRR concentrates the overnight snow squalls in the locations below. Not sure the amounts are important vs. where it depicts the minor lift/stringing of the atmosphere setting up.

    Not sure it was right on all the locations but at this point, one could do pretty well just watching the HRRR from 2 days in and on.
