    I am punting the second third of spring in my circles. And I have noted that May is no gimmie for a frying pan either but too far out to make too much of a call there. Main driver is constant fluxes of the jet stream down over us when lows pass to our West and drag down fronts.

    Cold enough? Have seen several depictions of lows sweeping under us with an airmass that is not good enough.

    Its definitely been a slow spring here. I have an Oak that has not budded either but that is more normal. Looking up onto the mountain, it still looks like the dead of winter. No green at all.

    Still no buds on my Maple Trees Usually fairly full by this point. With no buds I will not see leaves until sometime in May now.

    I will opine that I think it is tough to get constantly similar weather in Spring. The average high for today, at MDT, is only 63. It is way above seasonal today. The rain is unfortunate though.

    And some are just talking weather :-). Though I usually will not talk about average temps and non anomalous weather. Tracking this stuff now, in Dec-Feb, would be a bore at that time but now it is off the beaten path weather. A chance of snow on Easter.
