  1. It almost got to 80 a few Feburary's ago. I did not know snowflakes in May were more than 10-20 year rare and I thought Mid 90's in November was once a century so he overstepped his bounds. LOL.
  2. I could have sworn people on here were saying it just happened in the 90's (flakes at least) Then there was once in the 70's.
  3. Well accumulating snow maybe but snow flurries...I assumed that happens once every 10-20 years in the LSV. I did not check end of November averages though just picked a number that would spoil the day....anything above 70 on Turkey day is a complete fail.
  4. LOL, come on now. We NEVER want it in the mid 90's. Snow in May is equal to 80 on Turkey Day.
  5. NWS added the word 'snow' to the LSV zones for Friday night and Saturday. That almost feels like a minor victory in itself.
  6. Yea, the we have had a bit of sun actually. I saw the southern edge was very close to you.
  7. Seems the rain for today in the LSV was kind of over stated? We have been dry since 10AM.
  8. 12Z Euro drives the SLP through the middle of PA instead of under it so the results are as below. Should we throw it out because we are within 60 hours and outside the Euro's wheelhouse time? :-)
  9. I only count 4 months. Oct, Nov, April and May :-)
  10. LOL. The most anticipated run of the Euro for May (ever) just started rolling.
  11. If we are I am going to have a beef with @Blizzard of 93 and his "All snow counts for the season" thought process. June 2020 snows do not count toward 19/20 winter snowfall totals! LOL.
  12. I will say that the low position from the NAM matches up fairly well with the Icon and GFS for this hour. Just a matter of the NAM being more (probably too) snowy.
  13. I would be pissed if my closest PA station, MDT, got enough snow to get over the total for making this the least snowiest winter ever. We are in May now and I want to keep that distinction and not have it blown on a May 3-5"" slopfest miracle.
  14. That was why I did not post the snow map just the "hey look it might snow some in May" thought of my post...sine surface temps were really too high for accums.
  15. 12Z Nam. Shows snow accumulated but temps do not match so not sure about that though they do fall below freezing after the qpf has left.
  16. Thanks, so as depicted this would be a historical event.
  17. Does anyone know of definitive records for standard stations as to the latest accumulating snow?
  18. I just listened to the 2PM call and Lancaster is having a community spread situation.....only 25% of their cases are nursing home. A bit of surprising info.
  19. I do know that some schools are discussing a one week on one week off plan. One week 1/2 the kids would go the the other 1/2 would go the other week....with distance learning on the off weeks. Your scenario sounds like someone who is guessing things based on a vaccine being available and maybe totally open at that point. .
  20. Yep, if Fulton opens I am going there this weekend :-).
  21. I had read the bottom graphic which said this data was up to date but you are right in that when you click on a county the numbers say for the period you mentioned. That is slightly confusing. Somewhere I read they are considering Fulton County to be opened so if Fulton opens I would expect most west to go to Yellow as well.
  22. For those interested here is an interactive map (middle of the page) showing calculations on virus cases per 100,000. My county is surprisingly no where near 50. Franklin is actually the highest in the state until you get to Lebanon East to West. Even higher than Lancaster. And York is below 50 the last 14 days. https://www.pennlive.com/news/2020/05/wolf-administration-issues-yellow-zone-rules-for-businesses-manufacturing-retail-will-lead-the-way-in-phased-reopening.html
  23. Just watched WGAL (Channel 8/Lancaster) for the first time in a while and Joe Calhoun was driving home the cold coming.
