Looks like " Happy Hour" and fishing from the dock will have to wait another 28/35 days "Charles and Amelia" have commandeered the dock for family purposes. She was not happy I was this close. -

Weeping cherries are beautiful. We have several wild redbuds in the heavy woods bordering our property. I am going to tag them so I can try to clear the area around them this weekend. Dogwoods are looking good to. We must have 25/30 on the place.

I had two within 50 feet of each other when they bore the fruit. I have an ornamental now that bloomed nicely this year.

I got cherries 1 year. 10 gallons of Bings. Never again though.

My wife got ours covered. We will see. My Cherry blossoms made it so far.

I have a 6 foot tiller, a John Deere and some nasty weed killer that will make that all dirt for you.

IKR.....To be truthful, I was also blowing some leaves. It was bright green and a good 6 inches high though.

I have had those spots. I usually remove all the dirt to 8 inches of depth and replace with suitable topsoil with a known PH. I once found a 4x8 sheet of OSB 6 inches below the surface.

I read somewhere that a large Oak tree can remove 300+ gallons of water a day from the surrounding soil.

Legend has it that anything placed in the spot will be moved by morning. Could be whats happening to the grass seeds.

There are old NC legends about places where nothing will grow. There's a famous one near Siler city
