  1. Soaking rain most of the afternoon. .85" so far. I will be over 6" for the month soon. That is rare for here. Drought busted!!
  2. Around .5" here. I was hoping the higher ratios out here would help our totals more. Oh well, not mad one bit with a rainy 55F late September day!
  3. Rapid intensification. Look, there was not even a storm at 10 UTC, then watch how fast those clouds develop!!
  4. It certainly isn't what it used to be, at least on the east coast of the US. But, among those 3 models just posted the one that looks broken to me is the GEM. Widespread 4 - 5 inch amounts. Lol.
  5. Wow, I'd forgot about Fran. I don't remember what I got from that one in Front Royal. There was major flooding on the Shenandoah. Remember the DC area news trucks reporting at the 522N turnoff at the North Fork Bridge. Where are you located?
  6. Well, the odds we get a 6" storm out here is probably once in a lifetime. The only time it's happened in my lifetime was Sandy. We're gonna have to chip away at that deficit. If we get 1" this weekend I'll be thrilled.
  7. That's a bummer. That could've been the drought killer, at least for the northern SV.
  8. 9/6: .13" 9/7: .94" 9/8: .19" 9/9: 1.80" 9/10: .06" 9/12: .34" 9/17: 1.65" Sep: 5.11" For comparison, my total for the entire months of Jun, Jul, and Aug was 4.32".
  9. When do you think WSW gets posted??
  10. It's amazing that these enhanced areas keep bullseying me today. What a blessing. Up to 1.25"
  11. No doubt. But I was just talking about my yard. Lol. Sprinklers and hoses going in the garage until next year.
  12. This is a way better event than i was expecting. I think I'm one more good event away from declaring this drought dead. Well over 1" and pouring again.
  13. Doing well today. Over .6" and still going. 59F. Just a perfect Sunday.
  14. Picked up .29". Hopefully, more to come.
  15. 49F for the low. See a number of PWSs in the area in the low 40s.
  16. Low of 50F. Looking at the network of PWSs, I'm seeing numerous stations in the mid 40s just to the east. Wow.
  17. Yeah, "strong" cold fronts now get us down to just +2F anomalies.
  18. 9/6: .13" 9/7: .94" 9/8: .19" 9/9: 1.80" 9/10: .06" 9/12: .34" Sep: 3.46" Things look so much more green now. Unfortunately, it looks like we're going bone dry again for the foreseeable future.
