Up in his area there on the coastal plain he’s far enough north and flat. So in his area it’s usually not a big issue. Also why he rains in elevation events so often. With everything ramping up and northwest overnight.. I feel very confident of gusts here of 50-55mph. . I would not be surprised to see like a 58-59 either. Nothing like the 70-80 farther east, but certainly enough for some issues. I haven’t understood why people think 50+ in CT is such a crazy idea . At any rate. I’m looking forward to tonight and if I lived in SE Mass, I’d be drinking now.

Cannot wait for the WTF posts tomorrow in areas where folks are expecting 10-20 mph zephyrs tomorrow .. as limbs and lines snap on them . The trolling will be the best we’ve ever seen

I’m staying cautious here and thinking 50-55 ish. I’ve lived here long enough to know how this area performs in anomalous events like this. I could see you up to ORH rip a few into the low , maybe mid 60’s

Microclimates always fascinate me. Today we were like 1/4 me and less at times in fog. One of those dark dark days . When I drove down the hill under about 700’ was like 5 miles viz , no fog with brightening skies at times. This hill socks in with fig so often while areas a bit lower are in the clear so to speak. I’ve always wondered about it

Even the “tamest” of the models rips 50+ for the valley. Many folks seem to be underestimating this . Fully leaves trees with strong winds from a direction trees not accustomed to.. means problems
