we got 4” on Friday and 2” yesterday. Yet the sunny spots (esp. south facing slopes) were bare yesterday afternoon. Sun did some damage. so your yard is most certainly not representative of the whole area.
Spring sun angle is here

Would take the gfs right now. Few inches followed by brief period of rain/mix. Probably as good as it gets for us in CT

Useless at this range though. I guess I’ll take it trending colder rather than the other way around but at the 66-72 hour range I’m still mostly just looking at the big boy models.
Yeah but it had almost no snow at 12z. Just noting . Better than it showing the warm tongue up the rear this far out

18z Mammy came in snowy and much colder compared to 12z

Unfortunately ..this event isn't likely to produce much of either.
5" of snow is likely tops. .35" glazing where/if all ice.
Maybe we can go .35 with this one, and then go .50+ for the weekend with little melting and bring down the grid slowly, but surely

Def a period of IP/ZR but QPF won’t be prolific in this system so we prob don’t need to be worried about power issues, etc. But it will make driving and walking terrible.
I’d forego snow if it meant power issues with more ice

Don't let Kevin know that every max expected amount map he posts from BOX uses WPC.
Which is 96% HREF based

I’d like to see euro go another tick colder, but yeah, we might get a net gain out of this if we can keep that triple point low coherent enough.
06z euro was like 2-3” for the pike region before the flip. Maybe just a smidge less for your area.
These usually are 1-3” south of 90 to ice here while IJD to Ginx gets above freezing. Reggie has quite a period of zr

Gfs keeps areas below 32 until we mix out with fropa.
That’s how i envision it. Limited mixing , weak low , triple point. Keep it near 32 until west wind for a few hours ahead of cold front

00z Euro colder yet again. triple point SE

A lovely steady snow. Just wish we could get some during the day.
It would have trouble sticking to Salted roads with sun angle and fluff
