I remember listening to the Weekend Met for News Channel 9 out of Chattanooga on the Sunday evening, almost a full week out from the storm of 93 that would start the next Friday evening. He was honking the first warnings about the potential of a multi inch system. I remember thinking how odd it was that he was speaking so confidently about a system so far out and talking about it being several inches. It was also strange to me because it had been so warm and late in the season. I had just come out of the Garden tending my Broccoli that was the size of dinner plates.

I have thought the exact same thing at times about the "Young night shift". Could be.

Just measured in several places in my yard and even with the round of freezing rain and compaction it caused I have 4 and 1/4 inches. I say that the storm was, as forcast in my area. It was the low end of 4 to 6 but never the less a good forcast, right down to possible warm nose reaching to the 1-40 corridor. Thanks to everyone that prayed in regards to my surgery. God"s peace to me is never more evident than on a snowy walk with everything covered and white. Even with the surgery I went for that walk tonight. Still snowing very lightly here.

I wobbled out of my surgery recliner and measured in our yard in a few places and the official measured total at my home was 3 1/4 inches so my eyes were a little off.

We have now cut off. Hope we can get that other 1 to 4.

So Glad it worked out for you guys in Chatt. town. I use to live in Cleveland and it was always amazing how many times we would get a good snow and Chattanooga would get blanked.

That is a suprise. We are very close. I am just shy of 4 inches and it is still coming down even though it has gotten lighter.

Looks like we are about to get the dry slot as well. We ended up with around 4 in in West Knoxville. Lets now get that other 1 to 4 for later.

Looking like we have about 3 to 4 in outside. I am just looking out from my surgery recovery chair and it is still ripping.

I have got 2 inches in the last 45 min and it is still ripping. Wow. Lets pray that line stops coming up the valley.

If it riped like it is right now in West Knoxville for 2 hours we would get another 4 inches

Getting the best rates and the biggest flakes of the event now in West Knoxville.

Here in Knoxville I have about maybe 2 in looking out the window. We are having good amount but the flakcs are smalll. It seems where I am at right in the middle of the valley it is hard to get large flakes. Dime sise is big for me.

We have heavy rates right now. It is ripping

For folks around Knoxville how is your temp. My gauge is not working. Have very goood rates at the moment.

It is now Ripping in West Knoxville. I would say it is Moderate to Heavy snow.

Finally getting some bigger flakes flying in West Knoxville

Don't know why they would lower your totals they kept mine at 3 to 4 both today and another 2 to 4 tonight. We are in a little lul but better returns are coming up the valley

Looks like we are going to have a short break and then a enhanced area is going to move in to West Knoxville with 25 to 30 dBz.

Out of surgery but stuck in a recovery room with no window in Park West so am going to miss the first flakes.

Out of surgery. Things went well but there will be no snow walks unfortunately. it is a little more painful than i expected.
