Rapid response I noticed too. Much needed here.

I have been watering, so ground easily accepts any water, but my neighbors who haven’t been watering, started to green up in spots, but some have long term damage that will require reseeding

Instead of flowers blossoming, we’ll have fall foilage.

Interestingly enough I put down 20 units earlier this summer, when Wolff wasn’t playing well, to win the Masters at +16500. After great showings at the PGA and the US Open...I’m sure his odds will be down around +2200 or so.

I think Rory is close as well...his game is inching back to elite.

Can probably make some money off that now, what’s it trade for on secondary markets. Regardless their success at the Open , as I think a zinger pointed out, supports the notion that speed of the golf swing is a great indicator ofsuccess.

If anyone is interested A group of friends and I are are doing a golf weekend sept 18-20, we are playing fox hop yard the 19th and lake of isles the 20th. We have two spots if you want to join us . We’ll put some $ in for a team event and stableford match, so if you carry a handicap that would Be good but we could work around it if you don’t, let me know.

Yep!   9/30/2020.  Will do a maximum 2 day/week gig and see if I can tolerate it

    Thanks Dave!

    Bright sunny day today!

Congrats on retiring. You’ve certainly earned it.

If you don’t  mind me asking, You work for the federal govt , correct? Based on your age assume your CRS unless you got a late start and are FERs.

is your part time gig for a contractor or coming back as a rehired annuitant? Something else?

Loving the BMW. Course and conditions demanded the best from the best yesterday. Very US Open-esque. The player who has everything clicking will win it.

Be interesting to see if winner finishes below par

I'll give Montaup a go thanks for the tip!

Newport National is nice and yes I usually always play it off season

Great , it’s members before 11, but allows public play after.

Current ownership at NN ruined it. We used to walk it during the week after 2 for $48. Now members pay a walking fee. Don’t think they allow public to walk. Course gets very little play which I think is what the current owner want. Back when you could have water on the course , he pulled all water off the course. I am told they are using styrofoam in the cups.

Any other hidden gems in Rhode Island or Connecticut? I found Meadowbrook from a guy I played with the Connecticut National

I play montaup in Portsmouth every week, worth a play. Left is dead on that course though. Newport national in Middletown is a great track, with new ownership you’ll pay over $100 in season, can get away under that after oct 15, it’s a great track. Richmond is ok
