Staying below zero during the day anywhere in the coastal plain is a feat.

I would guess many of us were 15-1 but decreased a bit with the low accumulating light snow which still added some Qpf.
I assume that pixie dust is closer to 8:1 but those streamers were probably well over 20:1.

Kinda cool seeing the snowmobiles out again. Haven’t seen them in Lanco in a couple years.

I received just over .4" last night. Elliott picked up 1.4" at his crib in Central York.
Beautiful dendrites last night- my goodness.
What was your total?

This is how we steal one on a lousy pattern. 18z Gfs.

When it wants to it will find a way to snow. We can take this one too!

PA has most snow squall warnings in the nation by a big number.

Little over 4” of snow here for the day.

Asphalt and concrete surfaces turning white again.

Visibilities look like they are dropping again and the flakes are more numerous.

Yes that is quite the difference between us. I will measure again at 1pm but I should be close to 3", I would think. Yeah, we'll see what happens with any redevelopment from the coastal but it doesn't look like anything too crazy. Thinking maybe we can add another inch, 2 if things break just right.
I’m at 3” as well near Willow Street.

I had stated that ratios would be 20:1 and many did not believe.
High ratio stuff coming.

3K is focusing the higher totals south of the M/D line.
Good to see that. Allows a little buffer if it comes north at last minute.

6Z Euro looks solid.

I like this 18Z NAM better than 12Z NAM. Looks like and inverted trough interaction that enhances snows south and east towards PHL.

and lastly, if one looks at 2m temps (looking at GFS), it looks like we stay in 30's through mid next week. If you add 5 on, low 40's will feel nice for a few days, till we ease back into colder stuff into last week of Jan. As long as we keep the torches at bay...alright by me. Could get close a couple days, but it happens.
Doing think we see a couple days in the 50s.

Low of 7.7F (so far).

You know, it was a little heavier than I expected. I couldn’t push broom it but that might be because of compaction. It’s about done here - looks like a solid 3.5” event.
Let’s tack on that much or a little more overnight Thursday into Friday.
Too much pixie dust to make it broom worthy.
