Are we still looking at a 2-3pm ish start time for this storm in the Harrisburg/Carlisle area? That's when my staff change over happens at the store so just trying to juggle whether to tell peeps to stay home or not
In terms of Turnpike plows on my hour and a half to two hours heading west bound on it I saw zero plows on the west bound size but there was multiple convoys of plows on the east bound lanes. Granted...obviously biased sampling there but Im pretty sure they have crews to cover both sides *EDIT* And based on how they typically travel in waves I should have passed or come upon one on the west bound side just by simple logic
The turnpike exit 242W had about a 2 mile line waiting to get off and atleast that on the east bound side to exit. Penndot and most of the local municipalities public works have *alot* of explaining to do
holy **** balls that was *the* worst drive I've ever had. Left Delaware around 330-4ish and it had switched over to full freezing rain. Google re-routed onto back roads (that of course were untouched) because of the accident on the turnpike. Cars off the road everywhere. Wrecks everywhere. 81/581 are a parking lot. 11/15 feels like back dirty road switchboards the ice is so thick. ****ing hell
Well....that was a really sad storm through the carlisle/camp hill area gotta say. Glad we didnt get heavy rain but man did it disappoint in terms of anything. Guess we'll see what next week brings
Hey man I feel ya cant count how many times I stare at the radar to the west and see the storms just split and curve around the camp hill around :p Granted, we cash in a bit more than you but still it sucks
Radar really filling in now. Hopefully no flooding even cleaned the patio drain out this morning but more worried about losing power. Was one of the lucky 400ish in lower allen to lose power from like 330a to almost noon.
The storms out near bedford/allentown yesterday were legit. Driving home from Pittsburgh was some intense storms. Ended up pulling off the side of the road for about 15mins to let the road drain as there was a ton of standing water and just timed it for the storm to pass. Too many people thought once the storm ended on top of us they were good to go but if you checked the radar they'd have seen they were just driving right back into it. Still...some hella pretty lightning and cloud formations
