Bring it, that day underperformed

Several strips of rain, with some embedded heavier showers have formed. Nice having this kind of weather on May 30th. 55 degrees currently at 330pm.

Partly cloudy here in Waldorf area as well, the boundary is nearby. Will we get severe storms tonight or heavier rain totals as the weekend progresses?
-
Still most likely only going to involve southern MD and central VA but we already have CAPE up into southern MD and it is pooled up against the boundary in central VA

Started the day in Dolly Sods and temps in the low 50’s. Finished our circuit and stopped into Cushwa where it was upper 80’s with a nice breeze, so not bad at all in the shade of the umbrella. Home now and not terrible but nice to have the AC on and the windows closed. Cicadas are getting loud.
Wow, no cicadas here at all in central Charles County and temperatures never fell below 70 last night. Quite a bit of diversity in our forum.

That second surge coming southeast from the Blue Ridge looks real as well.

KEWX has tops up to 65,000ft on the supercell entering west side of San Antonio, with MLCAPE of up to 4500 feeding into the storm.

Another overperforming event here, 1.26"
-
Another overperformer, 1.98" for the day.

Measured 0.73" of rain this morning at 8am, probably approaching an inch total now. Seventeen of the past 22 days being dry, but the ground is soaked again with standing water.
-
1422 tornadoes and assuming this Wednesday's event does not become.a High Risk, I will say April 5th.
-
0.41" for the day and 5.03" for February. The ground is soaked once again, with standing water in many spots. The last small patches of ice melted away overnight.

0.41" for the day and 5.03" for February. Hopefully, March isn't too wet or windy.

February 25th 2017 tornado/ 10 minute severe wind and the April 28 2002 La Plata supercell/tornado, are the two most significant severe wx events for my location.

Radar from Charleston WV and Blacksburg is confirming a developing light precipitation shield regionwide with scattered heavier spots

No doubt the GFS has it's issues, just hoping this isn't the January 25 2000 ice version incoming. The freezing mist and scattered heavier precip will be enough of an issue.
-
So the GFS is completely off it's rocker??? I had 1.5" of sleet after a half inch of snow and a tenth of freezing rain earlier, now we have the freezing mist with 28 degrees.
