  1. It’s a mess. UNC went full virtual learning.
  2. I definitely do, it adds a new level to it and no distractions...they have to mentally stay in it with no crowd around.
  3. Not all kids are asymptomatic either, know two under 10 hospitalized with it, one still in pediatric icu.
  4. Yeah, really it’s disturbing. I’ve personally known two to die from this so it becomes much more real if it impacts you.
  5. I feel like maybe I’m the crazy one or the one out of touch to think 1000 to 1400 a day is a terrible mark to be at and not acceptable for our country.
  6. Nothing will ever make Jonger think this is the least bit worrisome. Another 61k cases and 1200 dead.
  7. Yeah we are testing far less than we were at this time a month ago, especially in Florida and Texas.
  8. When can we look for deaths to get below 1000 again on a consistent basis? I know most in New England thread expected it to rise to the high hundreds but instead we’re stuck at 1200 to 1500 every non weekend day. I just never thought in a million years we’d be at 1200 plus a day with half of August gone.

  10. Unfortunately now know two people struggling with covid... one 55 one 7. The 7 year old from my town had severe fever and fatigue and ended up in local geisinger icu with severe lung failure and other issues, luckily he appears to be improving, but still in icu as of now. The 55 year old who is a friend of my dads is not doing well, recently hospitalized and hoping to not need intubated, was short of breath and extremely high fever before going to hospital. This is just now starting to hit hard in my rural part of pa and starting to personally know many people who have it.
  11. Agreed, long term ailments should be another major point in dealing with this virus, it seems to be a wide range of issues. These 1000 plus death a days get very discouraging too, seems endless.
  12. Another day, another 50 something thousand cases another 1400 deaths.
  13. DJ looking good heading into Sunday at PGA championship, but many lurking within a few shots.

  15. It’s sad, but I think this virus would have to have the impact of an Ebola or Avian Flu for everyone to take it seriously(impossible, because symptoms and death rate would kill it out). There’s just enough doubt seeded that it won’t be bad for them or their family, or just doubt in the virus altogether that we have a perfect storm. This thing will be spreading like wildfire for the foreseeable future.
  16. Exactly, and not letting your conspiracies allow a dangerous virus to spread more prolifically. These anti mask people are doing exactly that.
  17. Wouldn’t surprise me if he was saying that. The conspiracy theories on this are wild and getting wilder.
  18. Testing numbers down last two weeks in a row.

  21. I’m afraid it will, unlike then we don’t have a huge decline in new case numbers, just a plateau of 60 to 70 thousand new cases a day. Florida’s case numbers will be lower for awhile with testing sites shut down from threat of Hurricane.
  22. Florida sets another death record fourth day in a row.
  23. 1529 deaths today on CovidTracking
  24. Herman knew they dangers as a 74 year old going in there and unfortunately it worked out bad. This thing can be very serious, especially to the elderly.
