  1. I thought hitting just west of an area was worst possible thing from wind and surge perspective? I’m not real well versed in hurricanes so I’m not sure on any of this though.
  2. France will eventually get a handle since they are actually doing things to fight it back now, for us I’m afraid it’s up up and away for awhile.
  3. Pine creek is the lowest I’ve ever seen it up in Western Lycoming county, thinking we could be in some trouble fairly soon if we don’t change this pattern to some rainy days soon.
  4. The river in Williamsport is the lowest I can remember in my 31 years, at points below the dam it resembles a mid size creek.
  5. Hope all ends up well canderson. Also, is it ever going to rain again? River is ridiculous.
  6. It’s crazy to me how normalized 200,000 people dying of a still out of control virus is.
  7. I just mean every Tuesday to Friday is still over 1000 and Saturdays are 950 ish, then two real low days balance it down.
  8. Another Tuesday, another 1000 plus dead. We’re into September now.
  9. Starting to run rampant here in PA, two local colleges with large outbreaks going all online, two nursing homes hard hit, one with 26 deaths in last 3 weeks...local jail and federal jail with ongoing outbreaks.
  10. NASCAR hasn’t had over 20 percent capacity at any venue his season? Unless somethings changed. SEC I can’t speak for, don’t really watch or know much about them.
  11. Another Tuesday another 1200 to 1300 deaths, I can’t believe it will be September soon and this number is so high still.
  12. Thanks for information and correction. Wondering why more tests aren’t being done in Iowa with the troubling pos percentage, but they are coming off a terrible natural disaster which I’m sure impacted everything.
  13. 1660 new cases in Indiana today. Also saw that Iowa has a positivity rate of over 21 percent.
  14. It’s a mess. UNC went full virtual learning.
  15. I definitely do, it adds a new level to it and no distractions...they have to mentally stay in it with no crowd around.
  16. Not all kids are asymptomatic either, know two under 10 hospitalized with it, one still in pediatric icu.
  17. Yeah, really it’s disturbing. I’ve personally known two to die from this so it becomes much more real if it impacts you.
  18. I feel like maybe I’m the crazy one or the one out of touch to think 1000 to 1400 a day is a terrible mark to be at and not acceptable for our country.
  19. Nothing will ever make Jonger think this is the least bit worrisome. Another 61k cases and 1200 dead.
  20. Yeah we are testing far less than we were at this time a month ago, especially in Florida and Texas.
  21. When can we look for deaths to get below 1000 again on a consistent basis? I know most in New England thread expected it to rise to the high hundreds but instead we’re stuck at 1200 to 1500 every non weekend day. I just never thought in a million years we’d be at 1200 plus a day with half of August gone.

  23. Unfortunately now know two people struggling with covid... one 55 one 7. The 7 year old from my town had severe fever and fatigue and ended up in local geisinger icu with severe lung failure and other issues, luckily he appears to be improving, but still in icu as of now. The 55 year old who is a friend of my dads is not doing well, recently hospitalized and hoping to not need intubated, was short of breath and extremely high fever before going to hospital. This is just now starting to hit hard in my rural part of pa and starting to personally know many people who have it.
