Here is a drone shot of my panels.

Screw oil and propane. I use my panels to power my heat pump forced air furnace for ac and heat. It has oil backup for those really cold days. But with my woodstove I rarely use oil unless im away.

I also heat my water with a heat pump water heater. My hot water heater uses 8 times less power than a conventional electric tank. Compressor uses 500 watts vs 4500 electric elements and it dehumidifies my basement. I got the heater for basically free a couple years ago through a utility incentive.

    That's unfathomable to me.  A dew of 11F when it's 110 out.

71/71 with some low ground fog in the backyard after the brief rains.  It's humid.

LOL, that must be like breathing air coming out of a hair dryer.

Yea its crazy there like walking into a pizza oven. It rained one day I was there ,first time in 6 months. Was a skating rink with accidents and slip and falls.

We left the house to drive up to BTV at 5:00 am and got here around 2:30 local time. Haven’t spent any time outside except to get the rental car. The little bit we did was like a furnace.

Went straight to the hotel, and then my son crashed after we ate. We were planning on hitting the Pinball Hall of Fame this evening but that may be out now. Heading to the Grand Canyon Thursday.

Haha no but was at an event for Ten Bends Brewery (a friend owns it) for their two year anniversary party.

Completely off-topic but Oddly enough on the drive home in Stowe the wife and I saw a Berlin or Barre City Police (couldn't read it fast enough) unit pull over a vehicle on RT 100 in Stowe, and then we passed a Montpelier PD unit on the side of the road...and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why those two departments would be up here, 30-45 minutes away doing traffic enforcement.

I wonder if the Stowe PD were using them for back up at Brewfest. One of my co-worker’s husband is a Stowe police officer. I won’t see her to ask for a couple of weeks though since I am officially on vacation until the 20th.  :sizzle:

5g data high speed cell service is very soon going to crush the monopoly on wire based isp's. Instead of having 1 or 2 choices of internet delivered  by wires to your house you will have tons of other options by cellular modem at faster speeds. Think of the savings alone of companies maintaining 1 cell site over hundreds of miles of wires.

That's nice for much of the country but cell service is notoriously unreliable up here.

  5. I had an open day today so I decided to take a ride and spend the $150 pro shop credit I won this spring at Equinox.  I’m now a SVT landmark eating an early supper, Gill’s Delicetessan in Rutland  best sandwiches in VT

I thought the lapse rate seemed a bit high too but it may have cooled a bit as clouds had moved in while I was on my way up.

Oh you get it good just not jacking. That belongs to a 10 square mile radius in WCT only. Far SEMA is in deep deep trouble with torrential rains as every single storm track is over the elbow.

    Works for me up here

2.27" this morning. Some nice TL also.   Definitely missed some of the action last night and this morning, so there are probably higher amounts around SVT somewhere.

Wow, I'd love even half that amount.  Our golf course is starting to look like the links course they play in Gullane, Scotland this past weekend

Kevin would love my lawn. I let the clover flower and drop seed during the heat wave. Clover as far as the eye can see soon!

Me too.  I am of the "if it's green and I can walk on it barefoot, then its lawn enough" school

  9. Seems like summer is knocking on our door. I would change the title of the thread if I could figure out how.

Anyway, the rain has started here, a bit earlier than I was expecting. I’d like to see us get more than the .25” or so we got over the weekend. Would love to see 1”+

Until the power grid fails, nobody likes HHH for days and days unless they can escape to AC, people who work outside might differ with your office worker perspective

You wonder if that may happen this upcoming weekend or early week. Something akin to the Son of Sam NYC blackouts that summer in the late 70’s.

Ahh, our annual who like HHH discussion has started.  Just pull up last year's thread, or the year before that or the year before that etc.
