We may have lost a rose bush. Went out to knock all the snow off of our trees and boxwoods and found the rose bush laying dead flat and looking very perturbed.

did they brine the roads yesterday? I didn't go out.
not sure about Annapolis but up in the Baltimore area they did not brine because of the rain that was coming in prior to the snow

This is totally random, but I am watching the Shinning, why not on a dark and stormy night 2 days before Halloween. There is a scene where there is a radio broadcast and the news anchor mentions a ‘stockmans advisory’ and ‘Travelers Advisory’. I vaguely remember Stockmans Advisories from growing up in Colorado. Question, was that a NWS product, and do they still issue those? I am bored….and drinking.
I recall hearing those advisories in the 1980s. (Lived in Castle Rock, CO.) But don't recall the service that released them

One of the biggest tidal flood events of the past 10-20 years (possibly since Hurricane Isabel at some locales), is expected Friday & Saturday. Those along tidal shores should get ready for exceptional tidal inundation! All the piers in the area are under water. The only good thing about that is you can spot the deck boards that need new screws.
