  1. Yes NWS nailed it. Maybe an inch before the switch. That last batch moving in last hour was a dud. At least the rain line will be all the way up to Buffalo this afternoon so we really won’t miss much close by. We’re all in the same boat. Maybe tomorrow will outdo today with some off and on snow showers.
  2. 2 or 3 hours of moderate to heavy snow could give most of us a surprise 3 inches. I'd take it. Forget the forecast it's nowcast time
  3. That hole has filled in and it is now snowing hard. Just wait until NWS ups that less than 1/2 inch soon. Enjoy the morning.
  4. No. I'm just getting older. This model watching is always bad when you are waiting for something that happens 10% of the time. Look at the glass half full.
  5. Too negative guys. I like the trends. Some back end as well and maybe this weekend. I can see 4 or 5 inches on the ground after this weekend. Tomorrow morning may be a nice surprise. I'll take 3 inches if it falls in 3 hours.
  6. If the long term GFS holds it is going to be mighty cold later next week.
  7. Come on guys. This 18z has issues with precip. Until they all show this area of no precip disregard it.
  8. It's still early but I like the way things are looking up for Wednesday. I think we all know that we are going to rain or dry slot Wed afternoon but the GFS and Canadian are trending to maybe 4 hours or so of moderate to heavy snow at the onset Wed morning until noon or shortly thereafter. We could be looking at a 3-4 inch scenario with a quick dump in the am which I would take at this point. Like Tim said if we can move it a little more southeast then the changeover slows and we get more snow. I think NWS is taking the right measures with 1 minimum and 4 maximum at this point. As bad as this winter has been thus far I think we would all be happy with a surprise.
  9. My sister just texted me from Wexford. 2 inches on the ground an heavy snow. Me 10 miles south east of her, Light rain.
  10. Every station in Ohio is reporting snow. Why can’t this slide a little East so we don’t get rain. 11. Maybe this Lightning tonight will energize the atmosphere to get us some Winter Snow for the remainder of this Month and February.
  12. Right now all models are trending colder for Sunday giving us a couple inches. I like the trend.
  13. Tonight Showers and thunderstorms before 2am, then a chance of showers. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds. Low around 34. Breezy, with a south wind 9 to 14 mph becoming west 20 to 25 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  14. We have to take these models and storms one at a time. It’s looking more and more like Sunday may be a surprise with a couple inches of wet snow. just my opinion.
  15. TWC is a joke and I don't watch them anymore. Only concerned about ratings. National fearmongering. Local forecasts are very general. As far as this week goes...we have 2 storms to track. Sunday night and Tuesday night. I'll be happy with a couple of inches on each one but maybe one of them can turn into something more.
  16. Models are hinting at some pretty strong cold coming down on the weekend of the 27th. I think that will be our next time to maybe score something.
