  1. Lots of fake cold tonight coming up.
  2. When there’s a breeze it’s the real deal.
  3. First solid cool feel today with some sun and temps in the 40s.
  4. Some nice shots PF...glad to see the snow fall where it normally starts. I think after next weekend the tide turns a bit to more natural stuff along with retention.
  5. That is KORH airport. I know....like I said...I didn't see anything exciting from it, but to know what was happening so close in the region and knowing people experiencing it.....it's dam epic.
  6. You should be fortunate you live on one of the most safest places for damage.
  7. 10hpa can be too high, I like to look at 50hpa.
  8. I think I have them saved somewhere too...lol. Maybe FB or something.
  9. One of the last texts I think he said to me was, "this is going to be bad," as shot gun blasts when off.
  10. Yeah you and Dan Leonard had some epic pics. For someone like myself who didn't see any icing...it still was an exciting event from a weather standpoint. Just such a anomalous event.
  11. I noticed that in Andover too that day. I think part of it, is due to wind just advecting air that isn't latently rotting at 32.000001F. IOW, get a little off the ground and you'll probably get a nice breeze of 31.5F air, vs near the ground where the air is stale and rotting at 32.000001F. KORH had this phenomenon on roids where the T/TD was maybe 2-3F apart. They weren't in the clouds even in this setup. So you had a 20kt NE wind of like 30/27 or something like that. Just continuously advecting in prime icing air.
  12. Was just texting Ryan about that. I saw some damage on 84 from it.
  13. It was bumper to bumper on rt 3 like at 9 at night. I had no idea why until I heard on WBZ radio that nrn lights were visible. I got home and looked up and could see the green tinge right away.
  14. It matters most in those events anyways. You think Lava Rock is losing sleep over Taunton being colder than him? Although maybe he is losing sleep over it?
  15. It is rare. But when it does happen (and tends to if there is snow otg to help with the inversion) he loses it.
  16. Now if we can get the valley to get a ZR event while he’s 35 and rain, it will be complete.
  17. I had 36 yesterday and no frost on wind shield. Might be warm...how is it sited?
  18. My guess is the naked eye couldn't capture that. Nothing beats 2003. That stopped traffic.
  19. Looks like we'll be at the mercy of the Pacific for any type of wintry weather. I don't see any signs of blocking. Polar vortex is stout, albeit elongated into NAMR which I suppose is a good thing. I know it weakened in October, but it tries to come back usually when there is an early weakening.
  20. For the hell of it I went and looked at November 2020. I forgot we had like a week of 70s practically. Wow. That month furnaced.
