1. My first weenie memory was an Easter storm early 60s, I woke everybody in the house up yelling it's snowing it's snowing at like 5 am, my Dad was pissed, my brothers hit me, my sisters screamed at me, my Mom looked out the window with me and said, some day you will be a weatherman or a snow plow guy but today you are a kid so get back to bed. Of course I stared out my window at the streetlight until daybreak.

  2. Scooter I know I mixed, I actually watched above me as this tremendous wall of snow rushed down like a blanket from the heavens. With a tremendous rush of wind. I was sleeting at the time, all of a sudden the darkness of a summer T storm enveloped the sky as I looked up it happened, probably coolest natural phenomena I have witnessed in winter.

  3. Cetainly a big disaster down your way. When the Tropo reaches the surface very bad things happen. 12/13/07 was a traffic disaster, worst possible scenario in 05 but quick mover, now stall that and then see what the fook happens. Not out of the realm, highly unlikely but....... Then follow that with record cold, ya never know?

  4. Phil, yea certainly a memory hog in my brain, the best was on here when ten people posted within seconds Pink thunder snow. I was on my deck getting sleet pelted when all heck broke loose, actually had to retreat inside due to the initial intensity. The pic out my front door was right at the flip and Tsnow. My family and friends in SRI had no clue what transpired up here until I sent the video from my phone to them. Unfortunately that phone took a bath with my dog LOL

  5. i've never had such an up and down emotional weather day.

it pained me staring at the RADAR and reading the ridiculous reports coming in from BOS and metro west that afternoon. the sun was literally shining in a cloudless sky here with a T of 53F and calm winds while folks just a 45 min drive from me where having thunderstorms, heavy snow, wind, asteroids, you name it.

then a couple of hours later having the air sucked out of my lungs by 80mph winds and a complete whiteout.

I remember the first time you told your story of that day, very dramatic . The way you painted the picture it was easy to visualize what transpired. I knew from that post you had the sickness.

  6. Your posts are all jacked up. This stuff pops up in almost every quoted reply you do.

  7.
I got like 16" from that April 1996 storm....we had gotten about 5-6" two days prior starting Easter Sunday evening.

That was the storm that set the all time record for snowfall here....before it, we still hadn't beaten 1992-1993.

My heart was broken that I would not exceed 100 after that rocking year then this popped up with two days warning and it was touch and go. I was fishing in the AM with gray clouds cool, got caught upstream in a dumper, long cold boat trip back as it was pouring dendrites, loving every minute of it. When I broke one hundred I was doing shots right and left making snow angels and just being stupid, sickness
